We stayed at the Devoncourt Hotel for 3 nights and ate in the restaurant each night. Because the first nights meal (a starter and main course each) was superb, we had no hesitation to eat there for the next two. Starters were substantial, freshly prepared and well presented. The same applied to the main courses as well. Food was of very good quality and cooked to order. The service was good and the staff cheerful and helpful. I learned that the chef on all three nights was called Steve - so thank you Steve.
We did have breakfast each morning as well and the hot food again was freshly cooked to order. The smoked salmon and scrambled egg and the smoked haddock with poached egg were delicious.
