“Very good and very very popular”

I usually only go from Lympstone to Topsham, but I love it. It's one of the best things in the area. It's great to be able to walk or cycle away from all the traffic. So many people are making the most of this, which can only be a good thing for the local businesses. Go walk. Go cycle. Go and enjoy this!

“Wonderful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2014

I love to cycle along the Exe trail. It is a beautiful cycle or walk with so much to see on the Exe. To me it's a must when you visit Exmouth. This time I only had time to cycle from Exmouth to Exton - enough to make me feel re-energised, but on previous visits I've been further and cycled on both sides of the Exe, crossing (with bikes) on the Starcross ferry and stopping for a cream tea in a little cafe only reachable across a footbridge. Hightly recommended

“Lovely wheelchair walk with great views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 December 2013

Easy stroll along tarmac and boardwalk, with terrific views over the estuary. We walked the Exmouth to Lympstone part of the trail, it took less than 1.5 hours there & back at a gentle pace. We managed to park on the road at the start of the trail in Exmouth (in the winter, would no doubt be more difficult in the summer), as there was no parking in Lympstone that we could find. A handy cycle shop is situated near the start at Exmouth, and very helpful they were too when my wheelchair got a puncture! You do need to keep an eye (or ear!) out for cyclists as you go.

“Easy walk/cycle along the Exe estuary”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 October 2013

Very easy walking on this joint cycle/footpath. Good views of the Exe estuary, we saw hundreds of migrating ducks and waders. From the trail it is possible to visit A La Ronde (NT) a sixteen sided cottage of 18th century construction. Exit trail near Lympstone turn R, then turn R into Courtlands Lane to the end, then across main road to Summer Lane. No signposts unfortunately, so we had to back track after getting lost.

“Lovely walk but too many bikes”

This is a great walk with beautiful scenery. However you spend most of your time moving out of the way of cyclists which is a shame.
