Brilliant family run restaurant for both locals & tourists alike.........Community spirited, great service with a smile, lovely food & a great outlook onto the sea......No better place on Exmouth seafront for a drink or bite to eat.

Ok so I should point I run one of London's most famous restaurants so am normally more critical of cafes and restaurants than most but cant fault this little family run cafe at all. So have been to the cafe a few times now on my last few trips down to see family in Exeter. Me and mum always talk a stroll down along Exmouth sea front for a catch up and chat and always stop off for a tea on the way home at This charming little cafe.its So nice to be served with a smile and brilliant to be recognised even though i have not been down in Devon for 6 months. The food is always great, honest, tasty and home produced food and love the home made cakes, just what you need with a cup of tea. The family that run the cafe always recognise my mum which is a nice touch and the young man I think his name is Gavin is just lovely,so polite and charming.so good work guys and will continue to make the effort to drive down and visit for a cup of tea and a cake every time I get chance to come down from London.

My partner and I visited her father and his wife for the day and we ate here. Its right on the front so good views both outside and in the conservatory. It was a Sunday and a really nice day weather-wise. I opted for a beef roast dinner - it was really traditional and lots of it! Tasty too. My partner and her step mum and Mussels (caught locally) - HUGE portion and they both ate the lot and said they were lovely. And my partners dad had crab (caught locally also) salad which he also enjoyed. The staff were really friendly and even rushed off their feet remained focussed on their customer service. We all has dessert too which was a good portion and very tasty! Would eat here again and would recommend to others if they are in Exmouth holidaying or just visiting for the day.

Staff were kind, friendly, hard working and informative. The food (all four of us had roast chicken and beef) were piping hot and tasty with adequate portions. The cheesecake desserts (lemon & mascarpone and strawberry & white chocolate with ice cream) were delightful with adequate portions. Staff service was excellent and coped with a large coach party of tourists later in the afternoon.
Confusing name - Aby's or Channel View Cafe?
Outstanding - return visit assured.

Called into this establishment yesterday for a quick sandwich. Saw other customers having a roast and chose that instead. No regrets. Very generous portion with roast beef, yorkshire pud, new potatoes, roast potatoes, carrots, cauliflower cheese, mashed swede, stuffing and chipolata with bacon, all with gravy. Cheerfully served and very quickly. Food was served very hot on pre-heated plates. My only gripe If anything is the beef was cheap and had those white circle bits in it. The meal was also a little on the expensive side. That said very enjoyable.
