Got a weekend stay 'deal', and offered very good value, albeit due to being off peak.

Reception staff were very good, courteous and polite.

Big TV, but channel list was fairly basic (freeview).

Offered tea and coffee making facilities, and a fridge.

Room was very clean, and so was the bathroom, nice and warm too.

On site parking seemed to be plentiful, but as expected in January.

Beds were a bit small, considering I am tall.

Check in and out was a bit restrictive (16:00 and 10:30, respectively).

Did not eat there or use the facilities, so cannot comment on these.

All in all a pleasant experience.

Used the hotel as an overnight stopover. Very friendly and accommodating staff booked us into a two-bedroomed apartment with sea views on the second floor. A well equipped kitchen which we didn't use was adjacent to a comfortable lounge. Everything we needed was there and in good condition. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection and well-prepared hot food while the restaurant was light and airy, again with good views. The hotel is an easy walk into Exmouth which has a good selection of restaurants etc. The lift was a bit unreliable but the staff were on the case with that. Best of all the overall stay was exceptionally well-priced.

Booked this hotel through late rooms.com as a last minute overnight getaway. 2 adults and 2 young children.Booked the 2 bed apartment, with a sea view .great value at £79. Apartment in need of an upgrade decor wise, as old fashioned, but absolutely nothing wrong with it: was clean, warm, plenty of pillows, blankets etc. kitchen well equipped although we didn't use it. Sports facilities were good, although small. Pool lovely but small so more than 5 people and it's crowded. Very quiet overnight, no neighbouring noise and the hotel was fairly full. Had breakfast , which we hadn't booked but the staff were very accommodating - 2 full English and 2 childrens' beans on toast, no charge for cereal, juice etc for kids. All staff friendly and efficient and helpful. Hotel is in a great location for Exmouth seafront and close to other areas. Would definitely recommend and would visit again

First time in this hotel. Would definitely use again. Rooms are spacious and clean (the bathroom is larger than usual) Mine had a balcony with a wonderful view of the sea and gardens. The staff were very pleasant. The restaurant was good with the battered cod excellent. Breakfast had a very extensive selection and a reasonable size portion. There is also a leisure centre under the hotel with a pool etc. which is included in the price. The only minus is that the décor is looking tired but doesn't detract from an enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view as most rooms also have a balcony.

Have been staying here on & off for over 20 years most recently had a short break to celebrate birthday and as ususual had a good time. Most of the rooms/apartments face the sea and give a good view, however there are some, cheaper?, that face the rear or atrium. Most of the apartments we have used had a balcony, although our favourite doesn't but has a double outlook! The staff are very helpful and the facilities are suitable for all weathers. There are great decorations for Christmas time, although the restaurant can be very busy then with Christmas parties, they do have good bar meals though if restaurant full. We will be back there later in the year and as usual looking forward to it.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view, corner suites give extra views, however if you get a balcony it is good.

I love this hotel, we have stayed many times over a 10 year period, the staff are friendly and helpful, views and gardens are outstanding, although I must mention the decor is somewhat outdated but to me it only adds to its charm. Value for money, highly recommended.

Room Tip: Sea view room a must.
