We booked using the web and at 1st glance it looked lovely. However, the hotel itself does not allow dogs in ANY area and our "suite" looked like it was last decorated in the 1970's. The "suite" comprised a bathroom, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a lounge. The overriding décor was of brown and formica. If you want authentic 1970's décor, this is the place for you. Suite 20 had the added advantage of being in a separate block, up steep stairs and overlooking the car park and main road. We had a 2 ft by 5 ft balcony to admire the views. We paid over £850 for 1 week - room only for this horrible place. Dogs were only allowed to walk through the gardens to the sea front. The meals were just about OK, but again overpriced. We would never go there again - even at £200 per week, it would be overpriced.

Room Tip: Do not under any circumstances select "suite" 20

My partner and I chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced and we wanted to relax in their spa facilities. Staying in an apartment, the hotel upon arrival is incredibly dated. Their pool is great to swim in and relax in the sauna, but the decor is dated and feels like going back in time. Food is very over priced in the restaurant and we could hear every move from the room above us. We probably won't stay there again.

We enjoyed a lovely one night stay in a one bed apartment. It was spacious and clean with great facilities, however in need of updating and modernising. The travel cot provided for our daughter was clean and must have been comfy as she slept well! However, the double bed was small, uncomfortable, noisy and rickety - just turning over during the night resulted in loud creaking and concern that the bed would collapse!
That aside, the hotel was perfectly placed and had beautiful gardens. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I must admit when we first glimpsed the hotel I was disappointed as it seems to have lost a lot of its charm from when I last visited it in the 80s. However our 1 bedroom apartment was lovely and clean with a well stocked kitchen and the staff were amazingly helpful. Thank you to Andrew and his staff for making our staff very comfortable and stress free.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony.

Sometimes people expect far too much from their hotel. This place may have seen more glamorous times but it retains a certain charm. With sunshine, sea air, lovely gardens, friendly and informative staff and a spacious apartment with balcony, it was an ideal base for our weekend stay. One suggestion: bathroom could be modernised a little, and a cabinet or two wouldn't go amiss. All in all, highly recommended.
