I have two teenage sons ( 17 and 14 ) and a golf mad husband. I already knew that the hotel and rooms would be dated but the activities and price seemed worth it. Exceeded my expectations , how do they do it for that price. Yes hotel dated, yes rooms dated but my goodness everything else made up for it.
And yes all is inclusive, Air rifles, laser clay shoots, tennis, spa, lots of creative activities, painting, woodwork, patchworking. Look at the website just too many to list. There was so many times and activities to do that planning and booking then all for the week was not needed, they put on so much no one missed out. lots of things to do on the spur too.

Meals, breakfast and lunch buffet and so much to choose. Dinner 4 courses smaller choice but a la carte available for a small amount extra. Dining room dated as the rest of the hotel but who cares we had great fun.we are not talking top range food but good standard and great value. If you all have different interests no problem, always something to do or someone looking to team up.
Finally all of the staff were so happy, helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Room Tip: Try to get rooms with an outside space.

The accommodation is basic but it's all you need really as there are so many activities to do (more and more every year) that you don't spend much time in the room. It was quiet at night so sleep quality was good. You used to be able to hire videos (in those days!) to watch in your room but there's no DVD players / DVD hire available - this would be really good as the evening entertainment's pretty limited though you can still use most of the facilities till about 10:30.

The activities are fab - all really enjoyable and a HUGE variety. Falconry was FANTASTIC! The 2 spa treatments I had (Dermalogica back treatment and hot stone massage) were both EXCELLENT and cheap. However, the bowling lanes aren't level...nor is the crazy golf which is frustrating for older kids. The gym is appalling - 15 year old machines and no weights!!!

The food is fine - breakfast was average quality but a lot of choice, lunch was normally a nice buffet and the evening meals are really nice, always with a good choice for meat eaters and veggies. The times meals last for are really long so you can easily fit in eating around your activities. Sunday was free wine night!

Decent hot drinks being available during the day would be good - the machine coffee wasn't very nice.

Staff were friendly and nice though definitely need more training on the breakfast and evening meal shifts. They also definitely need more people on the bar during the day as there was always a long queue.

Value for money is incredible. There are so many fun things to do for people of all ages and the setting is beautiful. Be nice if they did more outdoor activities (rock climbing etc) like they used to though.

Room Tip: I asked for a disabled room which they gave me (room 78 had a ramp.) Think most rooms are about the...

Normally I'm a really fussy person about hotels being recently refurbished & modern. As they state don't expect fantastic accommodation but it's all clean & the food is great. It's far more than first appearances !!
The facilities are fantastic & the staff so helpful & friendly.
The craft centre is my favourite with something for everyone. Loads of sports & now a spa.
Suits whole families from babies to grandparents. Have been several times & cant wait to return !!
I have been as a family & with a friend but I would happily return on my own.

Great location, excellent golf courses, great food, comfortable bed and great facilities.Been to Center Parcs and this place feels great even when its busy unlike Center Parcs! The rooms and decor yes are a little dated but we only slept in the rooms so i dont know why people moan. Clean and tidy the shower worked and the toilet flushed and for £50 a night full board its fantastic value for money!!

We spent a week-end with a group of 40 friends and for that the hotel was excellent. It is faded and in severe need of a total refurbishment. To find your room you traverse several rabbit warren style corridors, Its very basic and if you want luxury its not there. I felt our room had an odd smell of old clothes and mustiness, but I think this was due to the old carpets and old wood. The bed was comfortable once I had removed grass from the sheets. What it does offer if good value for money if it rains and you want entertainment. It has a wide range of actitivies for all ages is in beautiful countryside and 30 minutes from the sea (if that). You get what you pay for, food is good, hot and plentiful. Not a lot of choice but good honest fare. Our shower was odd and to start we thought it was broken, in fact it was turn on cold full blast and turn the hot to the top of the red arrow and it worked beautifully. The room was clean although the old glass tops needed a good 'jif' scrub to get off the ground sticky surfaces. Whilst in the beginning we were a bit startled by the end of the week-end it was an experience we would not have missed. All our group were well looked after and the staff very pleasant. Woudl recommend to people with children up to 80....

Room Tip: A room facing norht would have been cooler. The southern windows made the rooms a furnace.

Spent a week at The Manor House with three teenagers. Everyone had a great time. The staff are young and from all corners of the planet, all of them (bar one local girl on the hydro spa reception, who could learn a lot from her European colleges ) were friendly , Polite, helpful and made us all feel welcome . Some of the rooms are being decorated and upgraded , but this all takes time and money. A few of the rooms are a bit scruffy , but this won't spoil your holiday . You won't have time to sit in your room criticising the decor . During our stay here we played crazy golf, ten pin bowling, archery, yoga, Pilates , swimming , hydro spa, badminton, deep relaxation class, painted porcelains , made candles , has massages and facials , bought reduced price tickets for The Eden project ++. The food is fine, plentiful and always piping hot , buffet breakfast and lunch with hot and cold choices . Plenty of choice for dinner too We had a coeliac in our party , but this wasn't a problem as every day there are gluten free options.
If you want 5* boutique and cordon bleu menus! If you like moaning and think it's okay to be rude to waiters! then don't go to the Manor House. If you want to have a busy week and try lots of activities you haven't done before, want value for money and a relaxed environment that caters for every generation then I can highly recommend . Mostly everything is included , between four of us we spent under £20 on crafting extras in the whole week

Room Tip: You can ask for a room with a view for a few extra £s . This will be a view of dart moor which is lo...

Yes it's slightly faded but what do you expect for the money. The key thing is that it is clean and great value for money.
They have to cater for young children, groups of teenagers through to fussy older folk. People who moan are not being realistic, you get what you pay for. The food is plentiful and well cooked but the menu is limited.
We had a 90 year old golfer in our group who loved it ( he could still play to about a 24 handicap).
The range of activities means there is something to suit everyone. It's 2 miles up the road to the golf complex which is well organised too. The courses are interesting but not easy walking. Get a buggy if you are not fit.
I would go again and so would all of our party of 14.
