Very comfortable suite (Primrose) with four poster bed and seperate lounge and two "bathrooms". Staff could not be more helpful and charming and food to challenge Michelin. A perfect centre to revisit all of our friends after our years spent living in Devon.

Room Tip: Superior+ rooms for space & views

I had read poor reviews on this hotel, saying that the attic rooms were awful, that the service was not good, breakast was bad...... but none of this was true in my opinion. We stayed in an attic room, yes, it was smaller than other rooms I have stayed in, but it was perfectly adequate and very comfortable. The basin was in the bedroom, but we did not find this an issue at all. The actual hotel is absolutely lovely with beautiful grounds and very well situated for exploring the South Hams. I found the staff very friendly and efficient, breakfast was good, and we had dinner two nights, which was absolutely sublime. My utmost compliments to the chef!! I had the poached pear (and blue cheese starter) which was just perefction and as for the orange pannacotta.......Oh my goodness!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and really loved the hotel, One thing I would say is that we did have a special offer and so didn't pay the full rate for the attic rooms.I may have been a little disappointed with the room if we had paid full price.

Room Tip: b&b&d special offers are a good deal

We chose this hotel for our wedding and hired the whole hotel (16 rooms in total) for the weekend. The hotel is beautiful, the staff lovely and attentive, amazing food, gorgeous grounds, croquet lawn, fountain and outdoor seating area. Each room is individual, the suites in particular are amazing and very luxurious. Four poster beds in some, more modern design in others. Access is via a narrow country lane but well worth it to discover this hidden gem. Suggest a day trip to nearby Noss Mayo or shopping in Plymouth. You can arrive by helicopter if you are lucky enough to own one; if like me you are driving there is plenty of parking.

We found a weekend deal for Buckland Tout Saints and were persuaded by the previous excellent reviews.
The staff were exceptional as soon as we arrived and very friendly. We were pleased with our superior room as it was very large. We did not have dinner at the hotel as we did think it was pricey but the hotel recommended plenty of local places to eat. However, breakfast at the hotel was very good and again, service was excellent.
We loved our time at Buckland T-S and would recommend a stay, however it is remote and guest definitely require a car.

My husband and I went to Buckland Tout Saints for 3 nights in the hope of a relaxing break after a hectic work schedule and found a beautiful hotel in a lovely area where the welcome and service could not have been better. We were welcomed to our room with a bottle of perfectly chilled champagneand chocolates, complimentary because of an unavoidable alteration of our booking by the hotel. All the staff were extremely helpful and could not do enough to make things right. Our room was lovely, with a four poster bed . We dined in a beautiful pannelled room and could enjoy coffee by a log fire after dinner where we could also sit and enjoy afternoon tea. We had a delightful holiday and cannot wait to go again.

Forget about the spas and leisure facilities - if you want a get-away-from-it -all break,
this hotel ithe place for you. Set in beautiful countryside, the staff are friendlly, the food is
excellent - more like a four or five star hotel. We had a great time and highly recommend it. Will certainly be paying a return visit. Richard & Diane Wigmore, Broadstone.

Myself and my husband were bought a stay as a wedding present and what a fantastic present it was!
we were greated by a lovely receptionist who couldnt of been more friendly, and helpful who clearly values getting to know each guest, taking time to chat to us about our day, were we had travelled from - a personal touch that u often dont get from large hotels.
We were asked what time we would like to dine and being a little indecisive she was very helpful in booking us a time and suggesting drinks in the bar before dinner.
Time was taken to show us to our room which was fab!
We stayed in Gardenia which was a suite, with a large bathroom, dressing room area and spacious room with kingsize bed and seating area! We couldnt of been more pleased! it was clean and comfortable but also felt homely and welcoming.
Before dinner we sat in the bar and were presented with nibbles to enjoy prior to dinner, before after enjoying drinks being shown to our table in the resturant. All the waiters/waitresses were fab and friendly and the resturant manager went out of his way to be helpful, was friendly and approachable.
A fantastic 3 course meal was consumed which was amazing and couldnt of been faulted! Before retiring to the bar for after dinner drinks!
it certainly felt that throughout the evening the staff were really looking after us and they couldnt of been nicer or more helpful.
Breakfast in the morning was delicious and freshly cooked to order - something that is often lacking in larger chains, as a result you got the perfect amount of cooked breakfast without the added grease and overcookedness you can get from a buffet.

All in all this was a fantastic stay and i couldnt recommend it higher, even though we are a young couple we did not feel out of place or unwelcome and will certainly be recommending this hotel and returning for dinner again soon!
