“Disappointing”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

Having previously had a nice lunch here after Christmas we thought we'd dine here again however this time the food was disappointing. Whilst the waitress was friendly and took our order quiet quickly the food took a long time to arrive and when it did it was hardly worth the wait. The calamari was appalling, I know it was a starter but 5 really small rings which lacked any flavour or seasoning on a plate of tasteless rocket with a thin drizzle of what claimed to be lemon mayonnaise but also lacked any flavour was not what we were expecting. The side of skinny fries was adequate. The salmon mille-feuille was okay but over chilled and the prawns in it a little boring. Pie of the day and a burger and chips were also all right but not outstanding. To their credit when we told them that the calamari was not to our liking they did offer us another starter or money off the bill so we were not actually charged for it. I hope that they will improve upon their dishes as the sandwiches and pate we had there after Christmas were very nice hence the return visit, also our waitress was very good and helpful and took our comments on board.

“Inefficient”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

In spite of frequent emails giving numbers and food requests table not ready. Prawns were uncooked. In spite of manager being advised of this no comment was made. Will not return.

“Awful”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

We had pre-booked to be in the window. We were crammed onto a table, yes one end could see the sunset. Staff very casual and not friendly at all. The food was dreadful and considering that we had pre-booked our order it should have been better. Uncooked prawn kebabs was the worst but the pie of the day contained sausage and bacon only and when we complained no one took any notice, duck spring rolls were far too heavy on the pastry etc etc. I shall certainly not ever go there again.

“So good we went there twice”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

Had a lovely meal there as a couple at the start of our week holiday, so went back with the family at the end of the week. All times the staff were really friendly and helpful. We sat upstairs in the restaurant with lovely views over the beach - the sunset is amazing!
Food was well cooked, steak done just right and lovely fluffy chips. Good meals for children too. If anything could be improved I would suggest a larger range of desserts - but then there is always ice cream!
Very enjoyable all round.

“Service”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

Lovely place. Sadly the service has let it down badly twice in a row within the space of 7 days. Really badly. We would like to go back, as it is a nice place in a great location but unhelpful, unwelcoming and rude staff have completely put me off. And interestingly it was different staff on each occasion. We thought it was a one off the first time. Won't be back until they sort it out. Hope they do!
