This is a beautiful well cared for beach, very popular with families and dog walkers. A great place for a walk all round the year. Parking can be a problem as even those parking spaces adjacent to the beach are now time limited.

In the summer dogs are banned from so many beaches, not here! A great stretch of beach when the hide is out for the dogs to romp along, great coffee shop (John’s) just down the road. Instow is full of history as well!

Great beach which is dog friendly. Acres of sand, dunes a small harbour and total non-commercial. Car parking difficult in the main area of the village but there is a large car park at the far end of the beach which tends to be less busy.

A lovely unspoiled original setting.not full of commercialised tack. It’s just nice to be able to enjoy a beech for what it is.

A lovely situation looking across the Torridge estuary to Appledore and out to sea . There is a good promenade with lots of seating . There is good access to the Tarka trail with several places to eat and drink.
