The most comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation we have ever stayed in. The location is peaceful and beautifully rural and with no light pollution the night sky is amazing. The breakfast was excellent with farm fresh eggs and lovely fruit compote. Rosemary makes you feel totally welcome in her charming home.

The rooms were spacious, and homely, with all that you would need for a comfortable stay. We were running a marathon/10k this weekend and the roll top bath was particularly appreciated! Rosemary was very helpful and accommodating - especially when it came to arranging dinner for 3 tired souls. I would highly reccomend this b&b - it would also be a perfect romantic getaway.

We stayed here for a couple of nights, whilst attending a wedding in Plymouth. It is a lovely old barn type property that has been renovated to a high standard.
The lady that runs the place is friendly, efficient and helpful.
Breakfast was delicious, bountiful and timely.
Her two dogs are friendly and full of personality. It is down a few winding lanes, and a bit tough to find the first time ( tom-toms don't like the postcode!). There are lovely walks nearby and it's a great base to strike out from. It's a touch on the expensive side, however the rooms are huge and the overall experience I guess was worth it. I'd happily recommend it to people in future.

My girlfriend and I decided to get away for a few days and booked in at the Auton Court B&B having seen it on the local tourist board website.

Before we even arrived communication was good and Rosemary (B&B owner) sent us a charming handwritten letter confirming our booking as well as giving us directions.

We drove down the narrow country lane were we were greetd by Rosemary who promptly showed us to our room before making us a lovely cuppa to enjoy in front of the log burning fire...perfect!

The bedroom we stayed in (master bedroom with bathroom) was immaculate and spacious and well equipped with flat screen tv, tea/coffe making facilities, clean linen/towels, dressing gowns, shower gels and lovely views over the Devon countryside. The bed was extremely comfortable and the roll-top bath adds a touch of style!

Breakfast was ample and very filling...orange juice, coffee, cereals, scrambled egg on toast with bacon (the eggs was so yellow, lovely) followed by toast kept us going well in to the day, and just what's needed prior to exploring the charming town of Salcombe and walking along the South West Coast path.

My girlfriend and I went there for a relaxing and peaceful break and thats exactly what we got! In fact, we enjoyed our time there so much we have even booked there for our honeymoon in September....recommendations can't come any higher than that, surely?!

Our Honeymoon started out on Dartmoor but moved on into the South Hams. We had not booked anywhere and were looking for somewhere to spend the rest of our trip. Chance, and a good ' spot' of the signboard by my new wife, brought us, via a lovely twisty narrow lane, to Auton Court and a warm welcome from Rosemary ( and the dogs ). What followed was an idyllic couple of days exploring the surronding countryside secure in the knowledge that a beautifully quiet haven awaited us upon our return at night. The breakfast was everything a ' Farmhouse ' breakfast should be and set us up for each days exploration. A really good ' find '

Having stayed at Auton Court a number of times now we can fully recommend this fabulous B & B. Rosemary is a very friendly, helpful and welcoming host. Auton Court is a beautifully converted barn that has all the modern comforts, including underfloor heating. All the bedrooms are superbly decorated and comfortable with everything you need. The breakfasts are simply delicious, beautifully cooked using local produce and hearty! The surroundings are very peaceful and beautiful. It is the perfect location a getaway break or exploring South Hams. Rosemary is always ready to help with any information on the area, whether it be walking, sightseeing or places to eat. We just want to keep returning and it feels like home to us now.
