This is truly one of the most welcoming b and bs both my husband and I have ever stayed in. The hostess is exceptional , the rooms superbly clean with plenty of modern amenities , wifi that works all the time and a wonderful breakfast. We will return!!!!!!

We stayed at Ashleigh House in Kingsbridge on Thurs. 21st and Fri.22nd November. We were given room 1: a family room with space and a recent make-over. The bed was comfortable. The shower good. With double glazing and radiators it was toasty warm despite it being cold outside. The breakfast was a good full English.
Ashleigh house is on a western hill about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Kingsbridge. People with walking difficulties will want a lift up the hill. There is a decent choice of cuisines in Kingsbridge itself.

Room Tip: All rooms will be quiet due to the location. Some will be on the second floor. Check with Sue if you...

We enjoyed a lovely nights stay here and were touched by the welcome and friendly atmosphere that we encountered. Sue was a delight and made us feel special and Richard too was a pleasure.
The rooms were very comfortable and we all enjoyed the cooked breakfast and local produce.
Delighted to have chosen such a charming B&B and we look forward to another stay.

This guest house was the venue for a large family gathering linked to a wedding in Salcombe at a weekend in September 2013.
It is quite a spacious establishment with an open area on the first landing. The dining area is also open and spacious. The proprietors are hoping to open more areas and provide more facilities to an already adequate establishment.

Room Tip: First floor rooms are easily accessed

Thanks very much for your review Elwyn and best wishes to you and Margaret. It was lovely having you both to stay at Ashleigh House and the other members of your large family group, while you were all attending a family wedding nearby in Salcombe.

Spacious guest house with nicely appointed and spotlessly clean bedrooms. Nice quiet location about 10 minutes from Kingsbridge town centre, where there is a good range of places to eat and drink. As other reviewers have noted, host Sue is extremely welcoming. Prices have crept up noticeably in the South Hams area over the past few years, and Ashleigh House is no exception. Nonetheless it still comes highly recommended.

We were lucky to find Ashleigh House. It is in an excellent position in walking distance to some wonderful restaurants in the town. Nothing was too much trouble for Sue giving excellent customer service. Thanks
