An unusual type of cinema experience. Located in the centre of the town in what was once the town hall, there are now three screens with films shown only a few weeks after release. By no means a multiplex, the screens seat from about 200 persons down, but there is a really lovely atmosphere. Children's films are shown regularly and during the summer season extra matinees are shown during poor weather! A good film, a bucket of popcorn, cheaper entrance fees than your average cinema, car park just around the corner. What's not to like.

“Just like the old days”

A really quaint cinema, tucked in and amongst the Kingsbridge shops.

Unfortunately the old school charm isn't matched by comfort in the cinema - with small children in tow, you have to be early to ensure you sit in the stepped seating, but the trade off is you are further from the screen. Sitting near the front would be more desirable but unfortunately your view is usually blocked by the people in front.

The cinema is staying up with new technology - we did enjoy a 3D film in the cinema and although the screen was a little smaller than some of the multiplexes it worked just fine.

The ticket office is really small, so if you are going during the holidays arrive early to make sure you get in quickly.
