We stopped in for breakfast on a rainy morning and we had a lovely breakfast at a very reasonable price. If your in the area check it out, it was a very sociable place and the staff were very friendly.

Very nice place for a bite to eat and a cuppa. Good homemade food and dishes of the day. Reasonably priced. I would have given it 4 1/2 out of 5 if possible - a little more attention to customer service - a teensy bit less rushed, more smiles and some good eye contact would be the icing on the lovely cake! Hope you get your pizza oven churning out lovely pizzas - be great to have some to take away.

The Canteen, under new management since November 2013 is a real find. We've just had a wonderful lunch; salmon en croute preceded by a smoked trout starter with almon aioli, then a summer pudding to die for and coffee. Beautifully cooked and good value for a set £15. Kiddy meals and grown up cakes are also excellent. All cooked in a wood fired pizza oven. Don't miss this and do buy some local meat from Paul the butcher in the farm shop.
