I stayed here with my husband on a KGB deal. Very good value for money. The hotel was spotless, welcoming and friendly. On arrival I asked about the possibility of a cream tea, it wasn't advertised I just tried my luck. The chef had just made a batch.!!!!! They were without doubt the best scones I have ever had. Also served with chefs homemade jam , berries from the garden and a large amount of clotted cream shamelessly washed down with a large glass of merlot...
We had a 4 course tasting dinner with the deal. Pâté, courgette mint and feta soup with a cheese scone, chicken stroganoff and a frozen dessert. Beautiful food.
Breakfast next morning did not disappoint either. We dined there that night and enjoyed the venison burger, delicious.
The waitresses were lovely ladies, very kind, helpful and when asked were full of ideas for exploring the local area. Thank you so much everyone for working so hard, the food was amazing. We would love to stay here again
