We stayed on holiday not far from here. We were lucky enough to find it on the first night and went back 4 times. The food was amazing, succulent meats, tasty vegetables. Not a bad price either, the specials were around £10 a meal. I would say the meals were more gourmet than pub grub. Wonderful setting near the church, you can park outside, and you can see the sea. Fantastic.

We visited on Saturday 18th May, early evening. Had a good welcome from Alex and staff. The food was excellent. Lovely thick vegetable soup, steak cooked to perfection with home made chips, and a delicious pigeon in brandy & peppercorn sauce served with roast potatoes and veg. The pub it's self is a cosy village pub, that welcomes both locals and visitors from afar. A well used choice of books and board games to keep all ages entertained whilst waiting for your meal, and afterwards relaxing over a night cap.
The Chichester Arms is a pub I will be using again both for food and/or a drink.

We visited the Chichester for a drink on the same day we went to Woolacombe beach, having walked back the long walk, via Mortehoe on what the locals called the "donkey trail".

we have been here several times now and each time the food has been super - local fresh tender beef is superb. Sunday lunch is great especially after battling the elements camping. Really nice cosy traditiinal pub that always seems to be consistent with food.

Traditional village pub with real ales and good food menu. Went there two nights with old friend for drinks and had meal one night. Knowledgeable staff and publican, friendly and comfortable traditional old village style pub. Recommend the 'Dartmoor Ale' for good value pint!
