Just spent 3 nights in Nirvana cottage, which was fantastic. We took our puppy and found Linda, Bob and Todd perfect hosts. The breakfasts were sumptuous and well cooked and the plates stayed warm throughout breakfast. There was even a daily maid service, and she did a really good job. Parking was no problem and if you listen to Bob's advice neither is driving off. We will definitely be back or though not for a while as they are fully booked right through to October! Many thanks for a great stay, Jim, Jane and Poppy

We arrived for a two night stay to be greeted by owners Robert and Linda and shown to a lovely room on the ground floor ( 2 steps into the room ) with a walk in shower we had asked for when booking. Actual room is at the back of the hotel, you step outside and then back in again. Sounds odd but works wonderfully well, and the bonus of our own side entrance to come and go as we please. The weather was sunny and hot and Shaldon is a really pretty village, small, easy to get around, and lots of interesting cottages and properties so make sure you browse around the back streets. There is a great little ferry that runs across to Teignmouth from the beach, £1.50 a single trip, fantastic for leaving the car at the hotel and going out for a few hours to the other side, where you will find the RNLI station, a nice shopping street or two and the landscaped promenade area with wonderful gardens. We lunched by the sea, walked up to the Ness for a drink or two and soaked up the sun. And when my wife felt a bit under the weather, just a bug we reckon, the staff were so kind and thoughtful, jugs of iced water and biscuits and a fan for keeping cool. Top notch. Looking forward to a return visit.

Room Tip: Our room on the ground floor ideal for those with a walking difficulty provided you can negotiate th...

Charming family. Only there for 1 night but was impressed and would stay again. Breakfast was very good and rooms ( we were in the cottage) were clean and tidy.
Location was ideal for seeing Shaldon and surrounding areas

We went back to Potters Mooring again and stayed in a cottage attached to the small hotel, this really is a nice place to stay, the hotel looks on to the bowling green and village green, the cottage comes well equipped and gives you a bit more room to move around and come and go as you please. Robert and Linda look after you very well and serve the most delicious breakfasts in a pleasant dining room, we enjoy coming to Shaldon, there are different places to eat but the London Inn next door is closed at present, parking is tight but take your time.

We have just spent a few days in Shaldon, an old fishing village in Devon, staying at Potters Mooring. Both the village and the guest house were charming. Robert and Linda were excellent hosts and served up breakfasts that really did mean that we didn't need lunch.

Just spent six nights at Potters Moorings and what can I say other than an excellent place to stay. Room really clean and comfy, breakfast more than enough to set anyone up for the day. Location great for touring Devon. Parking is tight but that is a comment and not criticism and would definitely not put me off staying there again.

Spent one night at the Potters Mooring, it is situated in a lovely location in the centre of a quaint old village. Robert and Linda are most welcoming and keep an immaculately clean establishment. Our room had a good balance of olde worlde beams but fitted in a comfortable and up to date way, lovely modern shower and t.v. A very nice touch was the fresh milk with plenty of beverages in the room. Delicious breakfast in a dark wood panelled breakfast room finished off a delightful experience for us. Would also like to mention the great food in the Clipper Cafe, the staff are great. Thank you Linda and Robert.
