Down in Devon for an event in Teignmouth, Potter's Mooring provided a perfect venue - a 10 minute walk/boat ride or 20 minute walk (over the bridge) in to the main town / beach of Teignmouth or stay put in the relaxed Shaldon (2 pubs within 5 minutes of Potter's Mooring). Amazing bedroom with spacious and modern ensuite bathroom - would definitely recommend or return. Huge full English plus many other breakfast options served by helpful and friendly staff.

Room Tip: bring ear plugs if you're not used to being woken by seagulls!

This hotel is a cross between a hotel and an excellent guest house. There are not many rooms but the one we had for one night overlooking the small car park and the village green was very comfortable. Furnished to a high standard with a very comfortable bed and a modern well equipped en-suite bathroom. Each room is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and none of those little milk cartons here, you are given a small thermos flask of fresh milk for the selection of the and coffees on offer when you arrive. There is also a large screen TV and a selection of toiletries in the bathroom.
Breakfast the following morning is included in the room rate and is exceptional in what it offers and how hot the cooked part is. I don't recall ever having breakfast served so hot in any hotel in the UK.
The only minor draw back to this hotel is the size of the car park, it's a bit tight for large cars, but it is free.
Overall and excellent little hotel and I will be staying again when we visit friends in Teignmouth

We spent one night at Potters Mooring on our way to Cornwall. It would be very hard to find a better place to stay. Super breakfast, served by friendly staff. Everyone prepared to go out of their way to be helpful. Great pub next door too

Room Tip: Tell owners if you have a dog so they can give you the most suitable room.

I have never been here before but what an enchanting place.
Potters Mooring was easy to find. Friendly and welcoming host. Had the cottage outside in the courtyard. We were able to go in and out by the back gate. Although we were expecting a room we were pleasantly suprised to be in a cottage with lounge, fully equipped kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. There was a lovely large comfortable bed, single bed and put you up bed if needed and still room to spare. Proper hairdryer near a plug and by a mirror. Tea and coffee tray with real milk in fridge and tv. Everywhere scrupulously clean.
Superior breakfast, quality produce and lovely period dining room.
Best thing was a young breakfast waitress who was happy to be there, cheerful, smiling and happy to help - top marks young lady!!!
Would love to visit again with my grandchildren.

Room Tip: We were placed in the cottage outside with a green door.

Stayed for 3 nights. Everything was perfect couldn't have found a nicer place. Well done to all of you for working so hard to make it to such a lovely place and making everyone feel so welcome. Will definitely be going there again and highly recommend it to friends and family.

Lovely and friendly :-) children and dogs mire than welcom. Great location as pub/restaurant is only next door. Beach is one minutes walk away. All rooms are en-suite. Lots of choice for breakfast...cereal, fruit, cooked breakfast, kippers etc. There are 3 Holiday cottages available too if you want more than a room. We have been a few times and love it :-)
