When we arrived at the cottage, we were surprised by how tight the parking space was and how difficult it was to access it! After this we had a few further problems that were dealt with within a few hours, then we could start to enjoy our holiday! The cottage was very nice and homely, we really enjoyed staying there.
Shaldon is a small place and there isn't a lot to do when the weather is poor. We found Ness Cove to be the best beach (red sand), it was sheltered from the wind, so as soon as the weather improved slightly, the children had a fabulous time playing there.

The cottage is large enough for an extended family with a large lounge, a large dining kitchen and a pleasant garden. the four bedrooms are ideal for grandparents, parents and children. There facilities are all there in the cottage and the beach, restaurants and shops are all in walking distance. The butchers is excellent and the Bakers is wonderful. All in a small village opposite Teignmouth. We manged with one car with the aid of public transport.

Stayed at cottage with our 2 yr old and 11 week old and mother in law. Well equipped. Toddler loved it. There is an enclosed garden. She stayed in the bunk room which is small/cosy, but was perfect for her. Beds all very comfy. King size rather than doubles, I bought wrong size sheets.
Good that it has it's own car parking space, but hard if you have more than 1 car.
Village has bakery, butcher, londis, cafés, pubs. Beach is short walk away.
Tip for owner, would be great if you could supply a little toy box for when kids stay.
