“A lovely rural B&B”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2012 via mobile

Four of us stayed here (two couples) for a weekend as we were attending a wedding in a nearby village.

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed it very much. We found the owner very welcoming and accommodating - we arrived quite late at night but that was no bother at all.

The rooms are not en suite but that didn't matter at all - our room was right next door to a good big bathroom, which has views looking out on to the back of the farm and fields. Our room was a good size with comfy double bed, plenty of wardrobe space and tea and coffee making facilities.

The breakfast here was particularly good - the owner let us choose what time we wanted breakfast, and there was plenty of choice. The table was spread with juice, cereals, croissants and fresh bread and we could then choose whatever else we wanted. Between us we tried their scrambled eggs, porridge and full cooked breakfasts and they were all very good, accompanied by a huge caffetiere of fresh coffee.

As with a lot of rural B&Bs and holiday cottages, Woods Farm is tucked away off a small country road, but we had absolutely no problems finding it, and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay and if we have reason to be back in North Devon we would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Woods Farm whilst in North Devon. We enjoyed a wonderfully warm welcome, our double room was beautifully decorated and had everything we required all set in beautiful countryside and gardens.
We had a wonderful breakfast and many fresh choices were offered, we even took home a gift of half a dozen eggs laid on the farm.
We highly recommend and shall revisit very soon for more r and r!

Stayed with family, the owner and her daughter were the most arrogant and ignorant people I have had the displeasure to meet. The toilets didn't work they had to be flushed by using buckets, hence the hygeine and smells in th heat of summer were unbearable, The shower was intermittent as was the heating for the water. The place was totaly overpriced and overrated. As for the place being called woods farm what woods most of the trees have been felled quite strange really as this is supposed to be a heritage site.
Avoid this place like the plague!!
