Owner description: Get a Buzz from your holiday and take a trip to Quince Honey Farm. The family-run working honey farm has been producing quality honey since 1949 and has over 1000 hives deep in the North Devon countryside. Visit the world’s largest Honeybee exhibition; BeeWorld! The interesting displays and exhibits will teach you fun facts about the honeybee before you take a closer look inside the working hives. Nowhere in the world can you get so close to live bees without needing protective equipment! You may wish to take a guided tour or walk around at your own leisure. There is something happening every hour during the summer! Don’t miss out on the bee talks and beekeeping demos which gives you the opportunity to hold a frame of bees if you wish. There is a chance to make some beeswax candles and learn more about the different types of honey at one of the tasting sessions. New for 2017 is the ‘be a beekeeper experience’ which gives you the unique opportunity to work alongside a beekeeper learning more in depth about bees and the art of beekeeping. (You can sign up for this on the day). Any little bizzy bees won’t want to miss out on The Happy Bee play hive; the large indoor soft play area with nets and ropes to climb over. This is where you will also find the cafe offering homemade food and our special Devonshire cream teas with honey. There is an outdoor play and picnic area for when the sun is shining. Visit Critter cabin and meet some slithery friends at one of the daily critter encounters shows. Visit the honey farm shop to see the array of honey products on offer as well as beautiful handmade beeswax candles and skin care. Make a Bee-line for Quince Honey Farm

We arrived at Quince honey farm mostly to just have a peek around as we were in the area and potentially see about having a go at their 30 min be a bee keeper experience. Not having done enough homework I hadn't realised it runs at 3pm every day and we'd arrived ten minutes late, however fortunately for us no one else had signed up to do it that day and they very kindly ran it for the group of us later than usual. It was a really excellent experience, from the fun of getting into the full beekeeper garb to getting to see the inner workings of the bee hives, Recommended for anyone, but particularly if you love bees!

We went to quince honey farm with our young son, we enjoyed the viewing galleries of the honey making process and you can see really clearly as you are viewing from overhead. Millions of bees, mostly confined to the hives and the mechanical hives that are there but as expected you do get a few flying free! It's great to get up-close to what goes on inside the hives, and live exhibits are really interesting. Learning through fun is always good. Our son enjoyed the soft play area and the outdoor equipment where we sat and had ice cream. Guess what flavour? Honey of course! We bought some honey to take home and I bought some soaps and moisturiser from the reasonably priced shop.

What a great little place to spend an enjoyable, educational and fun day, rain or shine but excellent for a rainy day.
Honey tasting enjoyable and great shop with honey produce and affordable souvenirs.
Good talks, demos of bee keeping and critter handling and talks sessions. All good for adults and families.
Really good viewing areas to watch and learn about the honey making process and viewing areas of the bee hives in many unusual places. Our grandchildren had a brilliant few hours and to finish it off they played in the large soft play area with a designated area for babies. The cafe is good and popular.
Learn how to be a beekeeper sounds brilliant fun and a good idea for a gift!
I would imagine children's parties are very popular here and there were two lucky children enjoying their party with lots of their friends and family.
Definitely a rainy day attraction but so much there to enjoy now better than ever.
Coming to the end of its bee season I would imagine but on the website it does give you information about what's open and when.
Go and visit....there are many discount vouchers around so hunt one down in the leaflets. We used a 25% off one.

If you want to know more about our Bee's this is a must to visit. The Bee Museum is fascinating and interactive for the younger visitors, also its free just turn up an walk round and watch the bees in the different hives securely behind glass. The products in the shop are well worth purchasing especially the fresh honey. It will take you a couple of hours to walk round but well worth it

After a friend of mine has harped on about the place, we came here for a visit as part of our "mystery adventure" of that day. As much as I enjoyed the little tour during which I've learned few bits and pieces, and the honey tasting, as an adult I don't think I got much out of the visit. We didn't spend that much time in here, and for the price that we've paid to get in, I feel like we've been a little bit ripped off. I understand that they cater primarily at children, but for adults to feel almost left out is not a great feeling.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to write a review after your visit. We are disappointed to read that you didn't enjoy your visit as much as you hoped. I'm glad you went on a tour and learned something new! We have a full day of activities and both adults and children enjoy all of these. We aren't primarily aimed at children, we aim to cater for all ages but I will feed this back to the team as we always want to improve our visits.
We are relocating and moving to a bigger site in the town so we will have a host of new activities, I hope you can visit us again when we reopen. Best wishes.
