“A little bit of paradise”
Reviewed 18 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We have yet again had a fantastic week at Dunsley Barn. Fantastic location, idyllic setting, extremely high standard accommodation. Excellent location for exploring Exmoor and visiting the various beaches of North Devon and Somerset. First rate hospitality. So much to see and do in this area but even if you choose to stay at the barn for the day, the location and immediate area is spectacular. Our three year old and six year old had a wonderful week.

“A Beautiful Barn in a Fabulous Location”
Reviewed 23 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We have stayed here before and have just had another wonderful weekend. This is a beautifully converted barn decorated to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. It's cosy and comfortable and this is enhanced by the lovely wood burner.
The barn sits by a stream and there are two beautiful Exmoor ponies in the adjacent field. There is a great decking area for relaxing with a drink in the summer and a gas barbecue is available.
John and Helen are excellent hosts, from the moment you arrive they welcome you and make you feel relaxed, they have thought of everything and are clearly passionate about making sure their guests really do enjoy their stay.
Each time we leave we look forward to our next visit and would not hesitate in recommending this "Perfect holiday venue"

“Fantastic hosts made for a relaxing New Year's break!”

We rented this cottage out for a few days over the New Year with a few friends to relax and get away from the pressures of parties. Helen and John are fanastic hosts, providing us with a welcome pack of wine and chocolates as well as loads of information about the area. Even though they live next door they left us to ourselves, but offered their help if we needed it. They even brought us a bottle of fizzy wine on New Year's Eve! The cottage is not the most modern, but it is very clean, well stocked with various bits of kitchenware and is lovely and cosy with a large wood burning stove which kept the chill off on a very wet New Year's Day. The countryside is lovely and has lots of lovely walks and things to do. I would definitely recommend this cottage as a quiet get away for either families or groups of friends. Will be considering going back in the Summer.
