Firstly i do not normally bother writing reviews, however we were totally in love with Millbrook as soon as we arrived. We wanted to run away and have a civil ceremony, all we knew of was Gretna Green but didn't want a conveyor belt wedding. I stumbled upon the Secret garden whilst searching on-line. On arrival we were met and shown around by Mandy who was lovely and very friendly. The secret garden was top shelf in every way, it has been finished to a very high standard as is the rest of the estate. The staff are very accommodating and nothing is to much hassle. We were wed in the conservatory of the secret garden which is very intimate and romantic as they set the scene for the occasion just right. This couldn't have gone as well without the help of Linda and her husband, thank you both. We later had private dining served to us in the summer house which is a must as the food tasted divine, a nice log fire in the background, candle lit inside and out and our choice of romantic music. To round of our stay we met the owners Bob and Kate, a lovely couple who must be very proud of what they have achieved at Millbrook.
If you are looking to get away for a nice relaxing break or a run away wedding we highly recommend Millbrook, especially the secret garden. You will not be disappointed, so many excellent reviews cant be wrong.
Rob and Nicole.

My husband and I married at Millbrook during the wonderful weather we had at the end of March this year. We had a fantastic day in an incredible setting. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained to give that wow factor. The accomodation was superb and made the whole experience just perfect. Linda the wedding co-ordinator was extremely helpful on the day and nothing was too much trouble. Kate and Bob have a wonderful venue here which you can see they take great pride in. The whole booking and organising the event was made very easy as Bob covers all the options and takes the pressure of you completely with excellent recommendations.
We had a fantastic weekend at Millbrook and will be returning in the future. A beautiful and peaceful location. 10/10

We got married in the Summer House at Millbrook on 17th February 2012 - it was PERFECT! Nothing could have made our day any better than it was, I still get emotional thinking about how amazing it was, the whole estate is beautiful and extremely well maintained with a great eco focus. We stayed in Corncott with our two children and they loved it two, our daughters (4) best bit was taking Charlie (the dog) for a walk and watching him swim in the large lake. Although I do not mind there being a no children rule now, we are looking forward to coming back on our first anniversary for a rest without them!

We recommend the Old George which is a short walk from Millbrook, we had our wedding meal there and it was gorgeous. After our meal we went in the hot tub and relaxed with a glass of champagne, the perfect end to our perfect day!

You would be mad to pass this place by, there is so much more to discover - telling you everything would simply spoil it!

Room Tip: All rooms are fantastic!

My partner and I have just returned and had our civil ceremony at Millbrook. Firstly a huge thank you to Linda who co-ordinated the day and was a witness for us, with Bob. We stayed in Lakeview and adored it there. We had our constant visits by the chickens, who we named elvis, adele and Marilyn! It was hysterical to see them totter up the steps into the kitchen! The accomodation is out of this world. With the high tech gadgets (I want to purchase apple tv now!!) and the finer details, this is the most beautiful accommodation that we have stayed in. our ceremony was just how we wanted it, low key and relaxed and a thank you to the registrar and Andrew the photographer. In the evening we had booked the hot tub package which was beautiful, just on the outskirts of the woods. The following evening we booked the BBQ hut, which was such fun.

We will definitely be returning for our first anniversary and would have stayed And declared 'squatters rights' if we could have got away with it!!

Bob, Kate and Linda are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The estate is out of this world and certainly has the wow factor. Normally we can find fault in anything, but there is simply nothing to be negative about at Millbrook.

thank you all for an amazing stay. Our weekend was simply magical and we really felt that we found a piece of heaven. Highly recommended and can't wait to return

Room Tip: Lakeview was simply stunning

Where do you start..... Our welcome was warm, Kate and Bob really now how to make you feel at ease as soon as you arrive. Bob gave us a quick tour and talked us through all the key elements of the estate and the guest amenities. 32 acre estate, 2 private fishing lakes, BBQ house (we had never seen one of these before), indoor hot tub and summer house. Once we had had a quick tour/ chat Bob showed us to our room, we couldn't believe it - it was fantastic, it was at that point we had to start pinching ourselves. We relaxed in the hot tub, we walked the grounds, we spend time in the summer house which is complete with original Atari glass topped space invaders/pacman arcade game - brilliant.

I know this place is in "Devon" but we thought we had gone to "Heaven". If you want real R&R then look no further than Millbrook Cottages, don't be surprised if it is fully booked though !

Room Tip: We stayed in the "Corncott" 3 person room in the mill house (the mill house had 3 apartmen...
