Chose Wellington Farm because I liked the photo on the Web Site!
It is a genuine old farmhouse with wooden beams, inglenook fireplaces and the most helpful and friendly proprietors.
Stayed in the Honeysuckle room with the 4 poster bed. Room was clean and tidy. Excellent sleep - very comfy.
Breakfast was excellent Full English done to a turn.
I would have liked to have stayed longer but was only in Devon for a day.
If you want a stay in a place with real character rather than a bland hotel chain, this is it.
Thoroughly enjoyable stay and would recommended to all.

My wife and I stayed here last Saturday after attending a local funeral. Gary and Marci gave us a lovely welcome and proved themselves to be such friendly hosts. Our room was smallish but had an adjoining dressing room which compensated for the size. The en-suite shower and toilet was spotlessly clean. Yes! the property is close to the main A35 highway but we were not disturbed by traffic noise. Marci cooked a super Full English breakfast and coffee and tea flowed freely. We had a good evening meal at The Old Inn at Kilmington (host: Duncan) which is a ten minute drive away and support the various recommendations of others. Although there are no coffee/tea making facilities in the room that need is available in the large comfortable and well furnished lounge provided for the sole use of guests. We would be happy to return here again.

We stumbled on Wellington Farm on our drive back to London and wanted to experience a proper Devonshire cream tea. We were not disappointed. The scones were freshly made and were very large with generous portions of jam and cream. The owner was super friendly and helpful. The building is a quintessential thatched cottage with low ceilings, open fireplace and a charming character. We would definitely come back and would recommend it to friends and family

We did not stay here, we stopped mid-afternoon on the way back from a funeral, long after restaurant lunch times, and asked if we could have lunch. Of course! Simple lunch was produced quite quickly - good food, nicely presented and not expensive. Just what we needed to sustain us for the next hundred miles home. We'll certainly stop again if we're this way.

Camped overnight, had a great welcome, a smashing day which started with a wonderful breakfast, followed by what can only be described as a corker of a cream tea. Pretty plant pots which add a lovely country feeling to a Beautiful old farmhouse. Would we stay again? You bet!
