We pass this pub on a regular basis and we will visit again. Warm clean welcoming pub. Good pub food very reasonably priced. We had ham,egg and chips and gammon steak. Big portions!! Neither of us could finish our meals so we had no room for dessert. The lady who served us was really friendly, very good service. We will return even if its just for a drink or to sample the desserts!

“Excellent. Friendly service, nice atmosphere, good pub food”
Reviewed 8 March 2014

We stopped at the White Hart Inn on our way back from a day out in Lyme Regis. We pulled in at the pub having been turned away from the Old Inn at Kilmington, for the 'crime' of having a baby with us.

The warm reception we received at the White Hart Inn couldn't have been more different from our miserable experience at the Old Inn. The landlord was very friendly, pointing out where the baby changing facilities were. When our food arrived, the Kitchen cook came out to see the baby and offered to hold her for us while we ate. We were quite amazed!

The food was good and very reasonably priced. My wife ordered rump steak, which was cooked to perfection and served with a large portion of accompanying veg, salad and chips. The home cooked lasagne was tasty, though more modestly sized and I could have eaten a little bit more.

The beer was well kept and roaring fire kept us warm on a chilly spring evening. The pub was quite spacious inside, though contained several annexes, so there is plenty of room to hide away if you want a little privacy.

I would highly recommend this pub and commend it on it's family friendly service!!

“One of the nicest pub meals we've had for a while”
Reviewed 3 February 2014

Found this pub by chance as was passing through the area there were 4 adults and my 12 year old daughter who is a fussy eater. Nothing seamed to much trouble.
The only downside that we had was that we all struggled to eat it all and has done my waistline no good.
Will defiantly stop here again when passing back through
