Excellent accommodation, good food, friendly hosts and a very pleasant garden with good views. I would recommend Surf View to anyone without hesitation.

Short but lovely stay in a very well run Guest House. It most certainly deserves the high rating on this site.

The best sleep we have ever experienced - at home and abroad. Was it the temperature, the level of humidity, the bedding? Probably a combination of all. Rooms are a bit small but perfectly furnished. Found all what’s necessary for a surfing trip, storage room, etc. Mostly we were impressed by the hearty breakfast, prepared with love and served with a smile, that will keep you going for the major part of the day.

Room Tip: The early bird gets the rooms with the seaview.

I returned home yesterday from truly fantastic two days at Surf View with a couple of friends. This guest house is absolutely immaculate from the beautifully looked after garden to the spotless bedrooms and dining room. It even seems like the view over the bay has been hand picked and is stunning.

The village is about a 10 minute walk down hill, the return journey is a bit more strenuous and I have to confess to having paid £4 for a cab back one evening, partially because it was dark but mainly because I couldn't be bothered with the exercise after a few drinks. But no problem finding a cab.

Our hosts Steve and Shirley were great and looked after us superbly. Breakfast was spot on both mornings and there was plenty of choice.

This is normally where I would try to give a bit of constructive citicism but I genuinely can't think of anything worth mentioning..oh the water was a bit on on Sunday morning but that is being ludicrously picky.

It really was excellent and I am already planning my next trip later in the year with my wife and children.

We stayed for a couple of nights over the Bank Holiday weekend and found Surf View to be everything that the glowing reviews on here say it is. It is bright and lovely and clean and the owners are really pleasant without being intrusive. Woolacombe and surrounding area is beautiful, although hilly so ladies, ditch the heels and wear flats! Lots of nice little pubs and places to eat and not too touristy. Amazing beach, kids will love it.
