Staying at Ted and Rita's B&B came about by chance as they were recommended by another place which had been fully booked for the weekend. They don't advertise on the internet but sending a cheque for the deposit wasn't hard and to be fair, their down-to-earth nature was absolutely fantastic and their prices very reasonable for the 4 nights we stayed.
Their B&B the Haven was just the place to stay; the breakfast was lovely (choice of grapefruit or a variety of cereals to begin with, then a cooked breakfast with extra toast or toast as desired, a generous cafetiere of coffee and a lovely view of the beach from the dining room), the room was a really good size and had a fantastic view of Woolacombe Beach, the bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable and having an en-suite was wonderful. The room had everything you would expect in it and was clean and bright. The Haven had a relaxed atmosphere and was and Ted and Rita were really friendly and fun to talk with. Given their previous experience of running a far larger place, it is easy to understand why this B&B (with two sea-facing rooms with en-suites upstairs and a family room downstairs) was the perfect place to stay at. It was well-priced, well-located, light and airy, friendly and a bit like a home from home.
Thank you Ted and Rita! :)More
