“A great family holiday”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

Just returned from WBH following our Easter break. This is the first visit in 3 yrs and it never fails to make me smile. This time returning with a new baby (along with the older children) was a shame to see the creche has gone and the 'den' isn't really a den BUT everything else is great and the children of all ages are heard laughing and giggling across the green, in the pool and the adventure play area. We had connecting rooms this time but have rebooked for 2 trips later this year and have arranged 2 bedroom suites. The staff are brilliant - helpful and friendly. The food in The Brasserie has really improved and was lovely. Doyles is always offering good food.

We are really pleased that you decided to come back after 3 years - thanks so much for your review - it is our job to make our guests smile and we feel with the great team of staff, fantastic hotel and amazing location we have something for everyone here. The Den is a replacement of the creche and whilst it is stocked with toys, beanbags, beach huts and a large plasma screen we would welcome ideas from parents as to how it could be improved.
It is great that you ate in both of our restaurants and your feedback has been passed on to our kitchen teams. See you later in the year!

This hotel really surpassed all our expections from the minute we arrived until we left. Our room overlooked the fantastic outdoor pool area which is so attractive with wonderful sun beds & plenty of space. The room had been recently refurbished with a truly gorgeous bathroom. The only little moan is that the toiletries were not replenished daily. The towels were lovely & the bed very comfortable with a large flat screen T.V. The entire hotel is immaculate & the Doyle's restaurant is brilliantly decorated. The food was super, could not fault the quality or the quantity. All the staff were friendly & very efficient - nothing was ever too much trouble. The indoor pool was also excellent & had plenty of activities for young people. Altogether we had a wonderful break & would not hesitate in recommending. Well worth another visit.

Room Tip: Ask for room 123.

We ate in the brasserie and the food was lovely, as was breakfast. The buffet was fresh and topped up often.

The hotel has improved it wifi too

Love everything about this place - the location is amazing, and whatever the weather there is plenty to do

We look forward to next years trip

Just returned from a 2 night stay, the staff were all very friendly and helpful (especially the young lady on reception sorry don't know her name but she was on duty last Friday night) beautiful views, lovely room with again beautiful views. Swimming pool was very nice and despite some other reviews stating that it was difficult to find we really didn't have any trouble finding it. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone or staying again.

Stayed one night recently whilst working in the area. I didn't arrive at the hotel until gone 8pm but was made very welcome and was please to hear that dinner was still possible. Had a delicious local crab linguine in the Brasserie bar, which was restaurant class food. Room was fabulous, clean, comfortable, fantastic views over the pool area, golf course and out to sea.
As I had more work to continue I was pleased to be able to use the free wi-fi not only in the Brasserie, but also seamlessly in the room and lounge areas.
Just wish I'd had more time there to enjoy all the other facilities!
Faultless, thank you.

Room Tip: Sea views are stunning, worth that little extra. Woolacombe is a beautiful bay.

We've recently returned from a week at the WBH where we had a fantastic family room (201) with a huge comfy bed and little separate bedrooms for our sons.

We've been to WBH many times and as ever the staff and facilities we're outstanding. The new playroom was a big hit and the food in both Doyle's and the Bay Brasserie was delicious.

We'll be back soon .
