“Rubbish!”

Was disappointed with what was supposed to be "100's acres of fun"
I wasn't sure what was more fed up the animals, staff or us! The barn was nice although it was freezing but didn't really bother the kids.
The farm was a bit of a fall down as the animals were inaccessible and looked fed up, the only animals that was accessible was the guinea pigs not a big deal as we've had them as pets so nothing new. And hard to enjoy when the staff there are throwing orders at you. Staff seems low quality as they aren't very helpful and seem miserable.
The cafe is expensive if you do go take a lunch with you!
Overall I'd say go somewhere else as it's poor value for money more to do in a morgue.

“Its mainly for young children”

Wasn't too impressed with this one. Not many animals and wasn't very big. Only went there because the passport ticket (which included the swannery and gardens too) seemed better value!

“Very expensive for what it was”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014

Took my children here for what we thought would be a nice afternoon and stayed for just over an hour!!! After paying over £26 for 2 adults and 1 child to get in we were VERY disappointed that 99% of the animals were not accessible and in pens that you could not reach into. Many other animals had signs on their pen doors saying "DO NOT TOUCH - WE MAY BITE" which is very helpful considering we were supposed to be at a childrens "petting farm!!! The guinea pig enclosure was the best bit.
The play areas were also of a very poor standard and the gift shop over priced. All in all a very disappointing visit. Save your money and go elsewhere!!

“overpriced poor value.”

Spent less than half an hour there. Hardly any animals or anything else to see. Highly over priced.
You have to pay for parking also.

“Family fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 April 2014

I have visited the farm many times but not recently so I was concerned having read some poor reviews. Last week I went with two young children and they loved it. It's simple fun, feeding goats, holding Guinea pigs, looking at birds, hens and ducks wandering around. Yes you paid extra for a ride on the horse but they loved it! The remark about the soft play area was not called for it was in a tithe barn for goodness sake, an amazing building worth a look at. Us adults felt a bit chilly but the children playing there weren't, there are indoor activities but not your usual plastic rubbish, perhaps that's what some reviews want but not I am sure the majority of people who visit the farm.
We ate in the cafe it was ok but I would probably take a picnic next time as there are lots of benches and tables for our use. The staff were all very helpful and the shop had cheap goods as well as more expensive items and let's face it who can go having bought a little souvenir !
