Abbotsbury Childrens Farm
Ranked #4 of 10 things to do in Abbotsbury

We visited with our two year old and he was so engrossed in the play areas he ignored the animals. While not a large attraction the range of things to do kept our one entertained for hours. Great entertainment.

Our kids love this place. It's one of the few things they all agree on. Something for all ages; our youngest is 3, our eldest 11. And us adults think it's pretty special too. I've noticed some people moaning about the entrance price but I'd say, especially if you're local, then get a year's pass that will not only get you into this children's farm, but also the swannery and award winning, beautiful subtropical gardens too. It's superb value for money and we use all three places all year round.

Our girls 1yrs and 4yrs absolutely loved it. There is so much to do from pony rides, lamb racing, bottle feeding to petting/feeding the guinea pigs, massive indoor soft play along with bouncy castle, table tennis, ball pit, pool, tons of info on Dorset's smuggling past to learn about. Lots of nice spots for picnics indoors and outside around the grounds.
Animals are clearly well cared for too which is good to see.
All staff very helpful and kind.
Make the most of the day and pay a few more pounds to get tickets to visit the Swannery which is a short walk round the corner and the sub-tropical gardens which a 3 minute car drive. You can even visit them on another day if you don't get time to do it all in one day.

A fantastic adventure for all, our girls were worn out by the time we got in the car to leave (a sight that all of us parents are happy to see after a day out).

The only negative thing to comment on would be the prices in the cafe. They're very high and don't reflect the quality of food and drink on sale.

This is something that seems to be commonplace at these attractions nowadays so most of us are used to it however the cafe does have a 5 star food hygiene rating which is good to know.

Thanks off a great day out, we look forward to returning again sometime!

Great fun for the boys to run around and enjoy themselves. I took advantage of the sun and relaxed on the grass, knowing the boys were in a secure contained area. Youngest boy particularly liked milking the pretend cow.

Abbotsbury Children's Farm is a charming place to take the kids for a great day out and although it is a little pricey at around £10 per adult it's probably worth it. There are lots of things to keep the kids interested and entertained from feeding a guinea pig to riding a plastic tractor. The important thing to remember is to pack your own lunch as £1.95 buys you half a sandwich and the price of a bottle of water alone will quench your thirst. All in all a fun day out at the farm.
