Lots of couples of swans guarding a lot of eggs. Very accessible. Still some repair work to be finished after the flooding, but can see where they have already fixed a lot of the damage.

We went when the field between the entrance and the swans was full of lambs!!

Lovely place to visit!

Enjoyed the swannery alot. Found it interesting and informative. Staff in shop were helpful. Children really enjoyed it. Wasn't the cheapest attraction to visit but the place is so well looked after you can appreciate where the money goes!!!
The cafe was average and the staff not the happiest bunch but pleasant enough!

I have been before but my husband had not. We arrived for opening time and went straight to get get a coffee as it was quite chilly still. We then wandered along the road to the swannery and spend the next hour of so wandering around the paths watching the swans and taking photos. We were lucky enough to see one of the females turning her clutch of 8 eggs. The feeding time was well orchestrated and informative as always. There were not as many swans at the feeding session as on my first visit but we had seen quite a few flying down the lagoon away from the feeding area prior to midday. Hope to make it down for hatching time next year!

Took the family today and did the whole Abbotsbury experience. The swannery was very interesting and the children could feed the swans at 12 and 4pm. After the floods in February, we were amazed at the repair work done. Many swans, alot nesting, and eggs evident.
The farm park was small and aimed at under 7's, but as a family ticket it was a nice enough experience. My only gripe was that a number of activities you still had to pay for, this was off putting.
The Easter Egg hunt at the tropical gardens was brilliantly organised and the gardens /views were enjoyed by all.
All in all the staff were polite and welcoming and the sun was a bonus B-). Well worth the £40 for a family ticket for all 3 attractions, especially as we purchased with Tesco 'Days Out' vouchers!!

As an attraction in itself, it can be pricey to see a lot of swans, and to see them feed. Supermarket days-out vouchers can be used, which makes it more reasonable. We purchased the £40 family ticket for the swannery, farm and the gardens; though only had time for the first 2 (will go back to the gardens later..)
I could understand if you were not there at feeding time, there was not too much to do other than walking around. It is worth checking the website when the cygnets are hatching - the first eggs have been laid back in March, and the hatching is 35days after.. so we were seeing nesting swans than any of this years youngsters.
It was also a throw-back to a time when birds were more of a food item, with info on the decoys and how the swannery grew. Interesting to see it all, and also the unfortunate impact the recent storms in 2014 had on the place,... with the waves coming over Chesil Beach and damaged the area, however, this was not too noticeable when visiting, so full credit to the staff there.
The go-karts were a nice touch, which had plenty of use!!.... We picnic-ed in the maze, which was a more protected area from the wind
Glad we went, though probably would not go back.
