I always pick seafood from a menu when its available, it's been a while since I've been to the west bay hotel and the menu has plenty of choice of seafood and other dishes, the food itself was cooked to perfection, no one in our party had a complaint about anything, it was superb value in a lovely location and great service

Did not stay here but had a meal as a party of 12 in the bar/restaurant area. We were very impressed with the range of dishes on offer (particularly the fish dishes) and were really spoilt for choice. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food was very well presented and tasty.

Westbay is a lovely place we had a great weekend with the family, we only went to the Westbay to eat but didnt feel that welcome with the family I think the children were an annoyance to the staff who seemed to favour the drinkers at the bar which is a shame.

Super friendly, welcoming staff. Our room was large and comfortably furnished; the bathroom was fine - all kept very clean.
We had two evening meals which were terrific. The menu is extensive - too much choice! It gets very busy so do reserve your table at the time of booking a room to avoid disappointment.
The cooked breakfasts were excellent.
It is in a great location - just park up and get walking!
Highly recommended.

I was down in Bridport on Business and needed somewhere to stay. After a quick "Google" I came across the West Bay Hotel. Looked nice, so booked up. On arrival at the hotel there is certainly no issue with parking. Hotel on the edge of the shingle beach so great for the fresh-air! Staff very helpful and was shown up to my room. Recently refurbished with everything you need. Wonderful bathroom and a highly comfortable bed. Booked a table for dinner (recommended) and was served some of the best seafood I have experienced. All locally sourced and reasonbly priced for the quality you get. Wonderful selection of local beers and the wine list looked pretty good also. Following morning and very good breakfast, with a good choice for all tastes. I would highly recommend the Wast Bay Hotel and I may have to find an excuse to be down their on business again just to be able to go back for the hand dived scallops!

We have stayed at this pub/B&B before and returned because of the excellent location, comfortable accomodation, friendly staff and superb seafood, much of it locally sourced from West Bay itself. We only live an hour or so away but love to stay here occasionally, parking the car for the weekend and walking along the coastal paths enjoying the fabulous views of Dorset before returning for a well-earned dinner and breakfast the following morning before setting out again. Our most recent stay was accompanied by the exceptional weather during the first weekend of October and so made it one of the most relaxing enjoyable weekends away we have ever had.

Good simple B&B for a quick stay, and well located for good beach and cliff walks. Very friendly staff, nice breakfast, and good quality food in the evenings but make sure you book ahead in peak times – this could usefully have been mentioned to us when we booked but we were still able to get in. Our room was comfortable and with a very nice bathroom, certainly better than many pubs I have stayed in before. Some noise from the restaurant and bar below but you expect this and it did not go on too late. Would happily stay again if in the area – but fix the side door please so that guests can get in when the pub is closed (a new paint job causing the problem it seems).
