I stumbled across this place when I was looking for somewhere to stay in Bridport. I'm so glad that I booked it as it is absolutely gorgeous.
It is located right on Bucky Doo Square and next to the Arts Centre. So location is fantastic and a perfect base to explore the town, vintage and antique shops and the plethora of wonderful restaurants and bakeries.
The apartment itself has been finished to a very high standard. There is a large living and kitchen room, a bedroom with a free standing bath and a big additional shower room with twin sinks. All rooms are decorated very stylishly and but also with a nod to comfort. There are old books everywhere which is a lovely touch - it's great fun to read through these.
I would definitely book to stay here next time I come to Bridport. Remember to pack your ear plugs though - it's a great central location but this does mean there is some street noise at night.
Many places claim luxury but this is actual luxury. This place has been so well decorated and the bed is hilariously comfortable. Your exit during the day is through an antiques book shop. Literally next door to the arts centre, over looking a market square (Saturdays) and 200 yards from a renovated classic cinema. Bridport is lovely, i met and chatted to friendly and helpful people. The quick trip to the beach beautiful, a 3 mile hike to Burton Bradstock or West Bay. Just grab a map from Tourist Info which is 50 yards from the apartment. All of Katie's tips were excellent as well. I'll shut up now but it's just lovely.
I recently stayed at the Book Club and had the most incredible weekend. Katie was so helpful with her recommendation's of things to do, places to see and where to eat and drink that this formed the itinerary for our trip. The apartment is super high-end luxury and has a very boutique and chic style about it. It's located in the heart of Bridport and has a beautiful and quaint antique bookshop downstairs. There is an arts centre next door that shows theatre productions and art exhibitions. There's a cinema a couple of minutes walk away. There is a farmers market, antiques market, fantastic places to go for brunch/coffee, cosy pubs and a vast array of amazing restaurants. To summarise, this is a perfect apartment in a perfect location.
