Had a very enjoyable short stay at Colly Farm recently. The hosts Sue & John were lovely and very welcoming to us and our dog Ruby. Excellent breakfast, great location just outside Bridport and lots to do in the area. Would recommend Colly Farm and am already looking forward to returning for another short break.

Wow, we loved it here. So quiet and beautiful countryside. Being dog friendly is a must for us and both us and our dog were made to feel very welcome, with tea and biscuits on arrival. The breakfasts were brilliant too. We look forward to returning!

Enchanting! Took my border collie too - he loved it. Could not be made more welcome! The surrounding countryside is beautiful. You need a car to go out in the evening but that did not bother us - I liked the fact it was quiet. Many thanks to Sue and John!

My husband and I decided to take a few days away in Dorset and as it was last minute didn't have time to book accommodation before we went away so decided we would just sort it out when we got there. After arriving in Bridport we Googled dog friendly accommodation in Bridport Colly farm just outside Bridport about 5 minutes drive. - What a perfect choice! The owners were so welcoming to us all- including our pug Frank. We unloaded our things and were offered a lovely scone and tea in the downstairs lounge/breakfast room. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the room a lovely size with the most comfortable bed and fantastic views as well as the best breakfasts to set us up for the day!! There are some fantastic restaurants and pubs to eat within a few minutes drive all helpfully recommended by the owners. We were made so welcome and we cant wait to return for another break to visit the rest of the glorious coastline and country side that we didn't quite get to see.

If you look for modern minimalism in a boutique B&B then Colly Farm may not be for you; it was completely perfect for us. We are one adult and two children aged 7 and 9, and the hosts Sue and John made us feel most welcome in their beautiful home, arranging the rooms to suit our requirements and accomodating us with little notice. They were particularly wonderful with the children who were cherished and spoken to as ''proper' guests (a rarity in the B&B world - often they are seen as an inconvenience). There is family history and interest oozing from every nook and cranny of this rural residence, and the hosts were happy for me to use the sitting room downstairs in the evening, and the gardens for the children to run about in. A breathtaking view across the countryside, complete with tiny black and white lambs frolicking in the paddock beneath our bedroom window had us smiling every morning. As a bonus to dog-lovers there are 3 well-behaved dogs who are integral to the B&B experience here (which I suppose would also be of note to those with allergies).
When asking my 7 year old son which part of Dorset he loved the most on our way home, he replied "Sue and John's breakfast". I think that says it all!

Room Tip: We had a room within the main house; I believe there are others to which this review may not apply.

Just returned from a week in this cosy, quirky cottage. Just beware of low ceilings and doorways. Only problem was lack of hanging space in bedrooms as no wardrobes.Bathroom downstairs. Ideal location to explore coast and country. Neighbour who is housekeeper was very helpful and on hand to welcome us.

We were delighted with this B and B - our hosts were charming and very helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious and the breakfast was yummy. We spent 4 months touring the UK and John recommended the local pub Half Moon and it was the best food we had eaten during our trip. So great B and B and a good pub - what more do you want ....and the location was tops too!
