We enjoyed walking among the variety of vendors offering everything from clothes to old tools, from food to trinkets. We were impressed with the values and had so much fun people-watching, too.

great Market, lots of stalls spread out over three streets. All kinds of things are being flogged, but for me the plant stalls with cheap plants of quality were the best buy. A few stalls were selling old books and bric A brac.

We went on a Saturday in August, the market stalls were situated on the street pavements rather than in a central area. It was interesting to have a look at artwork, trinkets, photos, scarves, bric-a-brag and various other stalls. Unfortunately for us the weather was wet, so we didn't enjoy as much as we might have done. Bridport itself is a very nice town to visit.

Bridport is a lovely market town in Dorset and it actually does have a market! It's quite a traditional street market in the main street and a smaller square off of this. A good selection of items are on sale ranging from fruit and veg to pet supplies, books, ready to eat foods, clothing, plants etc. A trip to Bridport on market day is a good way of whiling away a few hours and there are many and varied places to stop for lunch or afternoon tea. There are is a good selection of shops and not all are national chains which is a very refreshing change. Once done here, drive a couple of miles along to West Bay for a walk along the beach and to get some fish and chips, lovely!

My Wife & I have been here a few times now. All that a traditional street market should be. Antiques & Bric a brac, food clothing & just about everything else you could think of. usually with a street entertainer or two thrown in. Plenty of good pubs along the route should you feel thirsty or hungry. Definitely worth a visit should you be in the area on a Saturday.
