Kresta's welcome, and smiley face is just the first glimpse of what you'll experience at her B&B. You arrive via a corridor decorated with plants and fairy lights, and Kresta shows you to your spotless room - we were a couple, so she'd put her twin beds together as someone was already booked in her double. The twin is a large room, two chairs, and a en-suite bathroom. She also has her dining room on the same floor, which has a sofa if you want to sit down and relax and plan your day.
The breakfast was wonderful - sliced up fresh fruit, and dried fruit, to spice up your muesli/granola. Freshly squeezed orange juice. And a great freshly cooked Full English - eggs any style - and nutty wholemeal toast.
Kresta's is across the road from Waitrose supermarket, and there's also a taxi rank right outside - this was very convenient, and didn't create any additional noise at night.
All in all, a great welcome from this naturally hospitable couple - GREAT JOB.

Room Tip: The top floor double, has a metal bed, whereas the twin (which can be pushed together) on the 1st floor, have no ends to the beds, making it more suitable for taller people. The top floor room also has a lower ceiling, so again not ideal for those greater than 6' tall.

We needed one a night stopover close to family and google brought up Kresta's.
Quaint and quirky it is a great place. The rooms are large and well equipped. Very clean and bright.
Breakfast was great - big choice and served with a smile by the lovely Kresta.
Thanks for a lovely stay- we have recommended you to family who live nearby.

Small but family run business.I can honestly say I have never felt so welcolm, at ease or satisfied by the level of service, quality of food and facilities. This was like no other establishment I have ever stayed at before.
Kestra and Phil run a first class business. There accommodation is extremely clean, with very welcome and high quality personal touches ,that make a stay very comfortable and relaxing. Everything from is catered for even baggage handling. The menu and food is very flexible and delicious. Providing for special diets and specifically well. even gluten free and diabetics can book with confidence. The ensuite bathrooms and bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated and furnished. I cannot praise them enough and would stay alone with confidence..

please book early to avoid disappointment but never be afraid to ask, they are very helpful even at short notce.

Room Tip: upper room is very a private and self contained with ensuite and double length bath.

My husband and I enjoyed a two night stay here and were made to feel so welcome by Kresta and Phil. The iced coffee, fresh orange juice and homemade cakes and cookies when we arrived were a lovely touch. We had the double ensuite room which was spotlessly clean, bright, airy and comfortable with so many little extras including bottled water by your bed, free wifi, tea/coffee making facilities and nibbles. Breakfast was fantastic, you choose what you would like the night before with regards to the cooked breakfast and also decide what time you would like to eat. There was so much choice when you actually sat down to breakfast with so many different varieties of fresh fruit, cereal and the biggest cooked breakfast you could imagine and it was all beautifully cooked and presented. Kresta was lovely, so friendly and chatty. We would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast and will definitel stop here again if we are in the area.

We arrived with very little warning and were warmly welcomed. The room was bright airy and nicely furnished with a comfortable bed and plenty of space. Breakfast was fantastic with beautifully presented varieties of fruit followed by tasty scrambled egg and smoked salmon. Kresta gave lots of great information and was chatty and warm, we felt very much at home. The Tiger Inn just down the road was a perfect place for a great pint.
