We had a really wonderful two night stay here and would definitely recommend it. The place is full of charm and the food is exceptional, and staff very friendly. We were upgraded on arrival from a 'petite' room, and suspect that these would have been very small and perhaps not such good value for money. The two restaurants are very good indeed, with The Stable offering delicious pizzas and a large array of ciders, and the continental breakfast was one of the best we've had.

A great location for lots of activities, with plenty of beautiful walks - and they'll even pack up some sarnies for you to take in your rucksack.

Had a lovely weekend at The Bull. Positioned right on the main high street with convenient parking around the back of the hotel. The hotel is ideal for exploring the Dorset coastline and visiting neighbouring towns.

Our room was finished to a high standard, the theme of the room flowed flawlessly throughout and into the bathroom. The room was topped off with a huge four poster bed.

We ate in the restaurant on two occasions, the food was enjoyable on both. Service was always to an acceptable standard, unfortunately on the Sunday evening there was little to no atmosphere in the restaurant.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Bridport.
Warm and helpful welcome on arrival and shown to our room. We'd taken advice and asked for a quieter room (there's a market on the High St at the front of the hotel on Saturday mornings!) and so our room The Mews is one off the quiet courtyard at the back of the hotel.
Fabulous room, great size, beautifully decorated and well appointed. We loved it.
We had dinner one night in the The Stable, great pizza in fun venue and atmosphere and enjoyed a cocktail or two in the Venner Bar. Breakfast was excellent too.
Highly recommended.

Room tip: The Mews was a fabulous room. You can choose your room when booking, but best to pick one that's not overlooking the High Street on a Saturday morning!

We had a truly wonderful stay in the sumptuous comfort of the Red Room at The Bull Hotel, complete with roll top bath and heavenly comfortable four poster bed. The dimmer switch and dressing gowns were a nice touch that made it feel all the more cosy and decadent.

We decided to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant but as newer oldies we had forgotten that we can no longer read a menu without aids! No problem. A wide range of spectacles appeared from a drawer behind the bar to help us navigate the menu.Thank you.

The food was delicious and our waiter recommended an outstanding red wine to compliment it.

After dinner my husband fancied a rare cigar. No probs. The obliging waiter popped out to get said cigars. Beyond the call of duty and much appreciated. Again thank you.

The breakfast consisted of a tempting array of local and hand made produce from the buffet table and a number of equally tempting cooked options. When my scrambled egg and smoked salmon arrived it looked so fantastic that the temptation of the Prosecco on the buffet was too great to resist. What a wonderful way to end a perfect stay.

Returning to The Bull again I wasn't disappointed.
This hotel has a great laid back atmosphere with fabulous staff who cant help you enough. The rooms are stylish and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. We ate in The Stable ( pizza restaurant at the back of the hotel) and were spoilt for choose with a great menu of pizzas, pies and salads all washed down with a glass of Devon Blush cider!! Cant beat it! Breakfast the next day was really good too and they dealt with my fussy daughters dietary requirements without a problem.
Came away smiling and refreshed. Would highly recommend.
