Owner description: The Electric Palace is a beautiful 1920s cinema recently reopened for films and live music which also has a cafe serving delicious meals made from locally sourced produce. There are latest films twice daily and live music most weekends. The auditorium is the largest venue in the area with a maximum capacity of 400 people. The cafe features beautiful original paintings by George Biles. A Bridport artist famous locally for his creative signwriting in the 1920s.

This is a real gem, and I'd encourage anybody who has the opportunity to visit the Electric Palace for live performances or one of their screenings to grab the chance with both hands. There's a small bar (limited selection) you can get a drink in, and take it to your seat. The art deco interior is fascinating. Located in the heart of Bridport, there is also plenty of local parking.

By chance we discovered that a concert by Steeleye Span was scheduled for the weekend we were staying near Bridport - the venue - The Electric Palace.

Online booking was easy. No need to call in to collect tickets, your name's on the list so you just check in when you arrive.

Venue is a preserved art deco cinema used for a wide variety of events. Ideally suited to the concert and very comfortable. Next time we are staying in the area we'll check what's on at the Electric.

Went to hear a talk by Peter Snow and it was great! It's an old theatre that has the original seats. It's a cosy venue and well worth a visit.

A great venue for a local show. A really good family show. small children from a dance school were involved as well adults. An old story well told with local twists. As a rule I hate theaters as I have a chronic back problem but I found this production enthralling. The Dame, was magnificent. When he came on in full gown I thought Danny La Rue eat your heart out. I'm looking forward to next years Panto.

Wonderful to watch films in this interesting setting. Refreshments available (though not tried on this visit). Worth going back.
