I've been here before and found it to be a very nice place
I called in early Sunday to ask if i could watch the f1 of course said the landlady not a problem so 17.00 Sunday evening i went in and spoke to the landlord who himself was interested in f1 and seemed a very pleasant man
Then the race started so i asked can you turn up the volume please
No sorry was the answer with people eating they don't want to listen to the telly
Oh!! Ok then it was to late for any alternatives if i didn't want to miss any of the race so i watched in silence then when i tried to get served i became invisible having locals served before me
So they lie and the service is rubbish looking after the locals first poor poor poor
All they had to say was you can have it on but there can't be any volume and i could have watched it elsewhere and got the full experience
A very big spoiler indeed

We ate at The George as a group of four, each ordering something different. The steak and kidney pie was not as good as expected, with fish and chips being just average. There are better places to eat in Charmouth, such as Fish and Pizza Bar. Did not go back there during the 7 nights that we stayed in Charmouth.

We ate at the George with a large group with kids. The back garden has a big play area for the kids and also a couple of goats. Kept the kids entertained whilst we waited for our food.
Had the surf and turf and burger which was ok.

Popped on a recommendation. What a pub. Very busy, which is a good sign. Massive garden at the rear with lots for the kids to do. Ordered 4 meals and a sharing platter, bit of a wait, but we didn't mind the kids was having fun. The food however was fantastic!!! Great portions and brilliantly cooked. All the staff had smiles on their faces and knew what they was doing and nothing was too much.

We will be back for seconds :)

Excellent Otter ale, and we ordered and got a dish of chips. It was baking hot and we sat the the garden....oil the swing please!

The girl behind the bar was the most attractive girl in the whole world...(save for the lip piercing) and called me darling several times...I do not need to be younger to be in with a chance, just three stone lighter so there is hope yet.

Loved it.
