Great B & B and Beautiful Location

Review of Hensleigh House
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 14 Sept 2020via mobile
This spotless lovely B and B is right next to the beach on a cute road .
It is very well laid out , lovely breakfast and breakfast room plus a good lounge with spotless rooms having nice firm beds.
Great for the Jurassic ‘Walk’ or just lazing on the beach .
There are two pubs within minutes walk and great location to visit the South Devon and Dorset Coast .
Don’t miss visiting Seaton for the trolley buses , Lyme Regis and of course Beer which is absolutely stunning.
Very minor minor notes . Layout of room very tight , care of beds as legs protruding. Water pressure needs reviewing as the shower feels like it needs a pump . People prefer thin smoked bacon as you can crisp that up and it tastes so much better . Saying that it still is a 9 out of 10 from both couples !
Ps The background music needs to be more fun and louder in the morning , too dreary for us lot ....lol !

On arrival we received a very warm and friendly welcome we were then were escorted to our room. WOW it was lovely! bright and airy, beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. The bathroom a perfect size for the 2 of us.
There was a fantastic choice for breakfast, freshly cooked and delicious, served by a lovely friendly lady.

The location is very close to the beach and local walks and not to far from Lyme Regis which is worth a visit.
We would highly recommend Hensleigh House and do hope to return

We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and shown up to our beautiful room. The place is spotless and our room had lovely double aspect windows. The breakfast was fabulous and cooked beautifully and had a lovely choice to choose from.
The location is great, just a short walk to the beach which we spent a couple of days fossil hunting which we were very successful with. With parking included it was very convenient as it gets very busy down by the beach. Would highly recommend this place to couples and families and would love to visit again sometime in the future.

Greeted on arrival by the owner who was very friendly and explained how measures had been taken in regard to CV19. Room was lovely and sunny and luckily had a fan in the room as the weather was very hot outside. The room had everything we needed. Breakfast was yummy and a good variety of options - friendly waitress. Good recommendations for evening meals and bus timetable provided when asked for. There were places to sit outside and the grounds were well kept. Plenty of parking. A short walk from the sea and town with a Nisa shop, very popular takeaway serving just about everything and a lovely pub (The George). Everything we could ask for! A great holiday!

Fantastic stay, Covid-19 health procedures in place so felt very comfortable. Guesthouse spotless, room was modern and recently refurbished. Location great, just a short stroll to the beach. We will return as plenty of places to visit nearby.

Stopped for 3 enjoyable nights. Lovely clean place, very well maintained and beautifully presented inside and out, with a very warm, friendly welcome. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, with safety uppermost. A lot of thought has gone into ensuring everything was provided to make our stay perfect. We had a delicious full breakfast each morning which kept us going all day! Well worth a visit!
