A beautiful cottage and garden. My room (twin at the front) was spacious, clean and well equipped. Walking the South West Coast Path as I was, this is a very welcome B&B, as accommodation is very scarce along this stretch of coast. About 10-15 mins walk from the coast at Seatown. Breakfast was very good. Personally, I prefer not to have to choose what I want for breakfast the night before, but that's a minor quibble. Definitely recommended.

Room Tip: Some road noise in twin room at front.

This was our third visit to Rose Cottage over a number of years and the welcome was as warm as ever - upon arrival following a long drive we were given tea and biscuits in the sunny back garden. Whole heartedly agree with other reviewers that breakfast was first class and nothing was too much trouble. The location is superb - nip out the back gate and walk down the path until you come to Seatown and a pub by the beach and the magnificent cliffs of Golden Cap. If you like walking, this is a superb base for exploring the Jurassic Coast. We'll be coming back again, but won't leave it so long next time!

Room Tip: Light sleepers will probably prefer the double room as it faces the back garden. If you need a bit m...

Hosts were great, nothing was too much trouble, they like to know our breakfast order the night before & were accommodating to our request. Lovely Garden area to the rear of property. Breakfast was spot on & piping hot! Nice touch of the toiletries & bottle of water in room. Thank you Mick & Sue

Was walking the coast path and this cottage is an easy short walk inland.
Stayed in a different b&b every night and can honestly say in my opinion
Rose Cottage is just perfect. Very high standards throughout the cottage.
Stayed in the twin room and found it to be spot on. Breakfast as good as it gets.
Had the best evening meal of our week in pub just up the road.
Made to feel very welcome.

Stayed last week whilst golfing locally. Rose cottage is very pretty, I stayed in the double room which was very cosy and the en-suite shower very spacious. A couple of friends stayed in the twin room which was again was very comfortable. We were so lucky with the weather that we also enjoyed use of the lovely garden. We were looked after so well and would definitely stay again.

A great B&B with very friendly hosts. We stayed here while walking the South West Coastal Path.

Room - Room was very well presented with good bedding and was very comfortable. Really good size bathroom with an excellent shower (double tray). Decor was in keeping with the cottage and felt very cosy.

Location - Short walk to a great little pub near the coast. Access to the road was initially daunting but the parking on the side of the house and a little assistance helped a lot.

Service & food - Efficient and friendly, just the ticket. Great breakfast with everything we wanted.

Room Tip: 2 good rooms. We stayed in the one in the back of the house which we considered to be the better roo...

We used Rose Cottage as a base for a couple of nights to visit Dorset & Devon. It was perfect. Mick & Sue are great hosts & their home is just gorgeous. It was lovely to be able to walk to the local pubs for evening meals. The cottage is right on the roadside & traffic is busy but calms down after 9 & throughout the night. The double glazing helps & we didn't have trouble sleeping at all. The hot water was extremely hot, which is not a bad thing but the shower took some getting used to, so beware!

We were disappointed that our guest didn't share their problem with the shower with us - however we have now renewed the valve and all the shower fittings - problem solved!
