“A lovely introduction to B&B stays.”
Reviewed 6 August 2012

Amazing garden, fabulous food, generous host, nice rooms, lovely bed and bed linen. This was my first B&B experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The B&B is a few km's off the main road wich means that there are terrific lanes to stroll along (I didn't get a chance to do this sadly). The breakfast was huge and delicious, in fact I have been trying to recreate Jill's plum and pear recipe at home - it was wonderful. Thoughtful little extras in the room. We had super weather and I wish I had had time to sit in the garden and read, the garden is glorious. None of the following B&B's on the trip (4 in all) were a nice.

We stayed here for one night only. Would certainly recommend and hope to go back some time when in the area. We concur with all previous reviews that the breakfast was the best ever and our hosts Gill and David were very friendly courteous people. We are both keen gardeners and are very jealous of the beautiful garden that Gill and David have created.........certainly green fingers!!

Thanks for a lovely stay.

We stayed 2 nights in Sept 2011, and found the twin room upstairs to be very comfortable and clean. Nice view of the beautiful garden, which must be explored - it's a wonderful mixture of plants, ponds, nooks and crannies, and of course not forgetting the array of Geese, Ducks and Chickens. The breakfast has got to be the best we have had yet at a B&B in the UK.
Nice surrounding area, very close to Swanage, and not far from the Ferryport, if you are thinking of visiting Brownsea Island. Hosts were very friendly, helpful and hospitable. Highly recomended

We had three nights at the B&B and were very satisfied. Rooms were fine - we had two, and the breakfast met all expectations. Well placed for visiting all places of interest in Purbeck region of Dorset. Good place to eat was at Scott Arms pub in Kingston, a near by village. Only small downside was getting in and out of the car parking area from narrow access road - had it cracked though after first night.

A very nice B & B a bit of the beaten track and quite eerie to find in the dark after going out. Nice room, we had the Garden room which is lovely, french doors leading to its own little patio, the only negative is that the breakfast room is above it which had wooden floors so if you hoping for a late rise forget it you can hear chairs scrapping and footsteps quite loudly so choose another room. That said, it was very friendly and clean. The gardens are beautiful and the owners allow you to wonder around them.

Room Tip: For late a late morning rise choose a room upstairs, not the garden room although this room is very...

The B&B is at secluded location not far from the well known Corfe Castle. The approach is through a windy and long single country track with very few lay-bys.
There is a small car park next to the house. We found the owners were very welcoming and hospitable. There are only three rooms, one being on a Garden level, the other two were above in a converted loft. We had one of the rooms above. We found the room and the bathroom were very clean, tastefully finished. The bed was very comfortable. Sleep quality is very good due to the rural setting.

As the loft is quite high, there is an extra landing space, built into it, providing an extra single bed.
However due to the location there is currently no wi-fi connection.

It has a big mature garden with many colourful plants and even some geese, ducks and chickens.
The breakfast was of very good standard, all produces are either home grown or locally sourced.
All in all a very good B&B.
