“Second visit”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

We first visited Corfe Castle on honeymoon 45 years ago. Not much has changed since then apart from the huge entry fee now charged by the National Trust! Great views from the Castle to the surrounding countryside and the steam train.

“Lovely views from castle”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

Had driven past the castle on a previous visit and made a point this time of visiting. Parked in NT car park and walked through to the Castle. Beautiful views all round from various sites in the castle itself. It is possible to just sit and drink in the views and the day we visited was perfect weather wise. The castle is in a sorry state of distress - to be expected considering it's age so not a lot to see. The notes displayed by the garde robe was very entertaining! The village of Corfe is also well worth a look around, a very pretty place.
Be aware that once you have paid your parking fee in the NT car park a refund of half is made on production of your castle entry fee ticket in the ticket office in Corfe village afterwards.
