Weather was good which helps! Quite a bit to read about, lovely views, helpful staff, even a market on the day which was lovely - had paella, bought jam, drank cider. Dorset is fab.

“Yes it is touristy but beyond that a picturesque village and imposing castle”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

I have visited Corfe Castle many times over my many years. It is a pretty village with stone cottages and looming over it a ruined castle. The village and castle I admit are "touristy" but if you look beyond that it is a very historical village and castle and very photogenic. One of Dorset's many "gems".
We are members of the National Trust so can go into the castle for free, beautiful views from the top too.

Reviewed 8 July 2014

Please definitely worth visiting. a bit of English history, and what a views :-D. Combined with walk around village and train trip from and to Swanage it was a very nice day out. If you fancy a short break, your legs got tired from walking, there are few tea rooms ,were you can enjoy local cakes, teas coffees etc. Do recommend !

“Corfe castle food and drink festival 5/6th July 2014”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

We were honoured to be asked to be one of the local food and drink producers to attend this years festival inside the walls of the castle itself, what a truly fantastic setting ! The weekend was coordinated very well by Zoe from the national trust, it was nice to see families enjoying themselves as well as a diversity of people from different backgrounds and ages all having a great time ! We look forward to seeing everyone again next year. Well done Zoe ! All the best ,Jurassic cottage foods.
