We stayed at Mortons between Christmas and New Year 2013. This is our second stay at this time of year and we love it. The hotel is cozy and warm and a brilliant base for us to walk and explore our favourite part of the UK. The staff are very helpful and it feels very much like we are staying in their home. The food is delicious and we particularly like the way that you can use the lounge like it is your own front room, choose your food and then go through to dinner when it is ready.

Mortons is the only place to be at this time of year and we will be returning again and again! Thank you for everything, this hotel and it's staff are very special.

Room Tip: We always stay in the main house as it is more traditional

We chose Mortons House Hotel for our wedding in November 2013 and simply couldn’t have asked for a better experience - we’re just glad that we decided to stay for four nights and were able to enjoy everything for that bit longer.

Beverley and all the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly, and Beverley’s planning ensured everything went perfectly - which was all the more impressive, considering our own less-than-perfect organizational skills.

All our guests said how much they liked the hotel and many said they would be coming back, and a special mention should go to chef for producing food which was uniformly excellent, despite the kitchen having to cater for what was apparently one of their largest wedding parties ever.

Luckily we can now look forward to celebrating our anniversaries at Mortons.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely comments. Yes, it certainly was our largest wedding to date, and what a great wedding it was! It was lovely that most guests managed to stay for a few days, so there was a real party atmosphere. Wishing you both lots of happiness for 2014 and look forward to seeing you, hopefully, on your anniversary, if not before. Best regards, Bev

We stayed at the hotel for the Christmas Break package, and quite frankly cannot find fault with anything.
The main focus of the Hotel is the food & being friendly and welcoming. Every meal was gourmet standard, from the 6 course meal on Christmas Eve through to the final breakfast on the 27th.
The staff were helpful and friendly and the owners could often be found keeping an eye on everything and checking that everyone was enjoying themselves

We would stay at Morton's House every Christmas if possible and would recommend to anyone.

On the 21 October we had a Trafaglar Night Dinner numbering about 80-90 people. It was a most fantastic night, with first class service and food. A very memorable evening to say the least. So much so that I am hoping to organise a Naval re-union in the new year. The setting is a delight and I cannot speak highly enough of Morton House Hotel. John Buchanan Selsey West Sussex.

Just returned from Mortons House Hotel in Corfe Castle. Still the most fabulous place to spend Christmas or any other time of the year for that matter. Thank-you to the wonderful owners, Ted, Bev and Ali, all their girls, and the hard working staff for looking after us so well. With delicious food and a friendly atmosphere together with a hugh log fire what more could anyone want. We've already booked for next year and will be calling in many times before then. This is still our favourite hotel.

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely - just choose the one you like the look of best.

Our Wedding at Mortons House Hotel, Corfe Castle, Dorset

It was our perfect day! To focus on the venue, Mortons House Hotel provided the perfect backdrop for the ceremony and photo opportunities. A stunning Dorset venue, the hotel has period charm and is set in a beautiful Purbeck village.
The accommodation definitely has a wow factor. Our honeymoon suite (The Elizabthan Room) was all you could wish for with touches of luxury and a truly romantic ambience. Our ceremony took place in the Oak Room, a panelled drawing room with an open hearth fire and elegant comfortable furniture. A small bar adjoins the main dining room which was perfect for our intimate family wedding breakfast and evening reception for sixty guests.
From our morning breakfast, to canapés, wedding breakfast and evening buffet, the food was superb. Even those whose dietary requirements were unusually specialised, everyone was catered for down to the last detail. Waitress service was faultless. And there were individuals who went the extra mile to look after our wedding party with warmth and a smile.
But it was the expertise, talent and constant reassurance provided by Beverly Clayton, both in the months beforehand as well as on the day, that ensured our wedding day was everything we ever dreamed of. We felt we were in safe hands. Mortons House provided incredible service - both elegant and efficient. We cannot thank them enough.

We (husband, grown up daughter and myself) attended a christening reception at the hotel and stayed overnight. Service was friendly and our rooms were excellent, spacious and comfortable. Although the weather was awful the grounds looked as if they would be a good place to sit on a better day. We had dinner in the evening, with guests. A comprehensive menu which pleased us all but my daughter and I felt the burger overcooked and the chips not hot enough. Having said that we will return as Corfe is a lovely little town in a beautiful part of the country.

Room Tip: room 9 has a sitting room and is well appointed
