We have just spent two days celebrating our wedding anniversary at Mortons House Hotel. it was a real treat, everyone was so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and beautifully presented although I would have liked to see a few more lighter options for the starters, such as fruit.
We did nearly get smoked out when the fire in the lounge came down the chimney (without much of an apology) but this was a minor detail. We loved our stay and the surrounding area. We shall be back again.

Room Tip: Room 2 was splendid with lovely views although I believe there are even better ones.

8 of us met at Mortons House Hotel yesterday coming from Oxfordshire and Berkshire we have met for the past 4 years but yesterdays lunch was only average as Sunday lunches go. The hotel was empty and only two other tables had lunch. The waitress who took our order had no sense of humour what so ever and needs to do a customer care course. The other waitresses who served lunch were polite but had a strange manner of vocabularly ie here you go then. Perhaps its a Corfe Castle language that we are not used to........ My starter was not as described and appeared with 3 small pieces of brie on a bed of leaves with a dressing no fig. However the range of breads were lovely and the hockham terrine looked really good. We thought it would be hot brie in a fig with a dressing. The Roast Beef was nice and the desserts ok the pistashio ice cream was a bit weird..... We've had better Sunday lunches although the hotel was lovely and the area stunning in view of Corfe Castle...

Very professional and capable team giving us the most magical wedding reception. All the staff went that extra step further to exceed all of our expectations. It truly was amazing from start to finish. The venue was beautifully set up and the staff made it extra special. It comes so natural to them. Everyone at our wedding noticed and commented on how good they are.

The Moretons House Hotel is a very special place and we look forward to revisiting much much more in the future. Thanks to you for arranging everything to perfection and missing the start of your ski holiday for us. It really was appreciated. The food was so delicious. Beautiful place.

A group of 8 of us stayed at this lovely hotel for 2 nights and had an inclusive deal that meant we could have breakfast and dinner as well. Both meals were simply delicious and the staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable as well as the beds!
Good place to stay while exploring this part of Dorset.

Room Tip: There is a busy road at the front so side rooms are nice and quiet.

I stayed at Mortons House Hotel with my husband and 2 teenage children when attending my sisters wedding. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome, the rooms were beautiful and tastefully decorated. The freestanding bath in our bathroom was fantastic!

The food both at the wedding and the breakfast the day after were all superb. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and we are hoping to return soon.

The reviews of this hotel appear confusing and that was just how we found it. Infact, it's all about which room you are given. Ours was very basic and simply furnished. More like £60 per night rather than £160, hence the average mark.
However, everything else was very good, the staff very frendly and accommodating. The location, lounge with log fire, and the restaurant very comfortable. Afternoon tea was excellent as was the breakfast. Dinner was a little out of character, for us. On a filthy, stormy evening we were hoping for some wholesome comfort food but the menu seemed a little fussy, mid European. The meal was however beautifully cooked and presented and a reasonable price.

We were taken here for lunch by friends who live in a Corfe. The hotel has a wonderfully comfortable room with a roaring log fire where you can have pre-lunch drinks. The hotel itself is very nice and has a very welcoming atmosphere. Our three course set lunch was delicious and very good value. Service was attentive and prompt.
