We are back from our honeymoon and I would like to take the chance to THANK Beverly (Hotel manager) and all the staff for your great service and hospitality for our very special day. All the guests were impressed about the staff in the hotel, the location and the rooms. Everybody were in a good mood and the employees made us smile as they were in such a good mood, which made everybody happy! As well a big compliment to the chef as the food was incredible delicous! Thank you again for the amazing table decoration you did for us, we really loved all of it and we are very pleased about the amazing service and the good organisation! We did definitely the right decision to celebrate with you:)) Kind regards, Stefanie and Paul

Had a break to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday................Everyone was fantastic and the room and food excellent. The shower appeared to be as old as the hotel........but having said that it was a very minor disappointment

It was a great event which made it special.........................thanks

Very pleasant, small hotel in small National Trust village; not luxurious, and yet with excellent food; elegant 'feel'; excellent Aussie staff in restaurant - both professional and friendly. At same time, hotel has a B&B feel, with towels and bedlinen piled outside the bedrooms and cleaners busy with their hoovers when you go down to breakfast.
We were 'in town' to listen to SuperBlue at the Greyhound, and to take some wonderful walks through the stunning countryside to the sea....

A perfect place to stay for a w/end.

This is an exceptionally well-run hotel, which is evident in the standard of service from all staff and in all the details it gets right. Everyone was very friendly, accommodating, quick and efficient. The hotel is a beautiful old building with pretty grounds and everything I saw was finished to a very high standard and spotless.

We had a room (17) with a good view, overlooking the attractive courtyard and pond, which was quiet, generally fine and well-presented. Drawbacks were that the room was a little small, as were the double bed, perhaps a queen size, and the TV. It was also stuffy without the windows open, perhaps due to the size and low ceiling. That said, we spent little time in the room other than sleeping and were perfectly happy.

Breakfast was great, with choices of traditional English, kippers and haddock. High quality, if slightly small portions - but that's great for me, because hotel breakfasts ruin my waistline! All served briskly, well presented and with a smile. Staff was happy to provide more coffee, toast, etc. on request.

The hotel's location is fantastic: three minutes or so from both Corfe Castle and the steam railway station for Swanage. Parking space is plentiful at the hotel. It is also on a busy main road, which may make rooms at the front noisy. We took the old train to Swanage for dinner, which I would highly recommend: it was great fun, took c. 20 mins, cheap (£5 return) and meant no car hassles.

All-in-all, a very comfortable hotel and ambience. Highly recommended.
