5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

Only stayed for one night but made to feel most welcome by Yvonne. Lots of information and leaflets available to us if needed. Yvonne was only too happy to offer assistance and guidance.
Lovely clean room. Good quality towels. Nice clean shower with plenty of hot water. Freshly cooked tasty breakfast.
A lady and her young son were staying there at the same time as us. Yvonne was lovely to the young child and made him his favourite beans on toast for breakfast.
A great home away from home, you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: We stayed in the South Room overlooking the gardens. Even on a wet day the views were stunning. Love...

We had a great couple of nights staying at the Ammonite. Yvonne was a super hostess and the breakfasts were delicious. We had a fantastic view directly over the beautiful garden and were extremely comfortable .We would definitely stay again.

After staying for 2 nights last year, we decide to stay for 7 nights this year which was good as last year, Yvonne is a good hostess advising places to visit etc,Swanage Pier and Tyneham Village. Yvonne's full English breakfast is great. Rooms are clean and tidy. Yvonne makes her own Ginger Marmalade which is lovely with toast. Looking forward to our next stay.

Room Tip: Both front and back bedrooms are excellent.

After seeing all the neighbouring traditional stone walled thatched cottages, we were a little surprised (and probably a little disappointed) at the modern 20th. Century exterior of Ammonite. How wrong you can be! The old adage, "never judge a book by its "overtly modern" cover", applies 100%. From the warmest of welcomes to a spotlessly clean room with all the modern amenities you could want. Great location, great views and all the breakfast you can manage. West Country hospitality at its best. Don't take my word for it ... try it for yourself!

Room Tip: Large en suite at rear with lovely country views.

We will stay here again if we're in the area. It's in a great location and close to attractions. Host very warm and friendly. The place is very clean and well maintained. Good restaurants and tea rooms around.

Yvonne welcomed us like old friends.
We had the very comfortable bedroom overlooking her beautiful garden in the heart of Corfe village.
Breakfasts are plentiful and very tasty .
We have now visited for a good few years and would recommend it to anyone and will definitely be going back again .
There are great places to visit in the area that Yvonne is only to happy to tell you about .

We booked two nights at Ammonite after having read the reviews on Tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed. It is located close to the centre of Corfe Castle village and only a short walk to the castle and several good pubs serving meals. Our room was very comfortable and had a variety of teas, coffee and biscuits for us to enjoy. Yvonne is the perfect hostess. She is very friendly and knowledgable about the local area. There was a wide choice for breakfast and it set us up for the day. I would certainly recommend staying there.
