What can I say about the heights hotel- When my girlfriend and I arrived there for our weekend away, we were welcomed by the most magnificent view. The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. The food choice was a welcomed site and the breakfast was enjoyable. There are loads of attivies and stuff to do in the area and the beach is great for the kid in us!! PS Must try in the Summer!

We visited the hotel for a long weekend. We were very happy with the way we were greeted in a friendly and professional way. Our reservation was dealt with quickly and we were shown to our room. It was a lovely large room, bright and airy, and worth the price we paid. We ate lunch and dinner on both days which was very delicious, and nicely served by friendly staff. The location is great with wonderful views! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definately be booking to go back very soon.!!

Stayed for 3 nights on business trip. The staff were very friendly and professional, room had double bed for single occupancy with free wifi and food was fine with buffet style breakfast and decent choice for evening meal. It just seemed a bit dated. The views from dining room are superb and there are good walks from the door. I found 3 pubs within a 15 minute walk, Corner House, Punch Bowl and New Inn. The locals in all of them were welcoming and friendly.

After travelling through Dorset we stopped at this hotel with a view to booking in. Yes the views are fantastic, but the actual hotel after wandering around it from reception to restaurant to toilets and outside pool, very dark, depressing and old fashioned. In all honesty I would have said it was a very bad residential old folks home. On visiting the toilets the stench of bleach was over-welming. I really hope with the amount of tourists due to arrive for the sailing etc for the Olympics this year in Weymouth this hotel is having at least a lick of paint outside to try to look appealing. When we arrived the gardener was trying hard to cut the grass outside with a small push along mower, what a shame, this hotel could be fantastic. In all honesty we didnt even stop for a very expensive cup of coffee !

The Heightd is a nice hotel in Portland with friendly staff. However the rooms could do with makeover. The restaurant is average and is overpriced.

Stayed at Heights hotel on the Easter holidays weekend with few friends. Booked the hotel on lastminute.com for £80 double room with breakfast. The location of this hotel is it biggest USP. The hotel is located on a Hiltop overlooking the Chesil Beach and Weymouth town. You also get a panoramic view of the surroundings from the breakfast room. The breakfast in itself was very good with plenty of options. it was definitely one of the best breakfast i had in a 3 star hotel. All in all pretty good hotel. Rooms were decent, comfortable bed, good pillows. Had tea/coffee & kettle service in the room. Try this hotel for its location and breakfast if not for anything else.
