“Don't pass this gem by because of its looks”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 October 2013

Although on entry this pub looked a little shabby we proceeded to order food after reading the positive reviews on trip advisor. The staff were very welcoming and kept us entertained (4 adults & 2 children) until our food arrived. All of our meals arrived freshly prepared, plentiful and tasty. We would definitely return if in the area again. Well worth a visit .

“afternoon snack”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2013

when my wife and myself entered the pub we looked at each other and thought what have we come into it looked a bit shabby and dated. we were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the landlord, there were a couple from Cardiff leaving to go home after their stay there<we live in bridgend> they said that had enjoyed stay,so we decided to have a Panini with a bowl of chips. I asked if it was possible to have a ham and cheese which was not on the menu but it was no trouble at all.really tasty food, cannot comment on the ale because I had coke because of the driving. would go back again.

“Great views”

Walking along Chesil Beach gives you a thirst, so stop off for a drink and something to eat here, watching the sun set along the beach is breathtaking and the choice of food is very good.

“Excellent pub grub”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2013

Wasn't sure about eating here on entering this pub but as we were limited on places to eat at this time of the evening ordered our food and was pleasantly surprised. All food is freshly cooked whilst we waited and offered fantastic value for money. Would definatley recommend this little pub.

“A nice welcome”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2013

After walking from over the bridge from the begining of chesil beach to the other side Portland we were ready to find a pub. the first pub we saw was boarded up, then just round the corner the Little Ship appeared. by now we were ready for a nice cool drink after walking 2 miles.
Walked inside the pub and the staff were so friendly, we also oredered some food. the beeer tasted good and so did the food. Well done to the owners of the Little Ship.
