We stayed here for one night to visit the Sturminster Newton Cheese Festival. The B&B is in the small village of Lydlinch only a couple of miles away from town (NOT walkable as road is busy - book a taxi well in advance or drive), and had an excellent location for the local area as well as plenty of safe off road parking. Our room was lovely, warm, spacious and with a really comfy bed and all mod cons, right down to a mini fridge in the room for the milk! The bathroom was sensibly sized and had a decent shower and a selection of toiletries provided.
Everything was very clean, well organised, and the owners could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was delicious, using locally sourced ingredients and it certainly set us up for the day.
For the techy amongst you there is free WiFi but due to the nature of the building (old, thick walls) reception is limited in some of the rooms.
Overall, this B&B is highly recommended - we had a fantastic time and would definitely stay again if in the area. Something to be aware of, if (like us) you book through LateRooms be aware that any credit card details you put in are only a deposit - cash or cheque is paid at the B&B itself.
